Cafe Lilac started out as an online business selling taro tarts. Now it's a cafe selling plenty of taro desserts.

Both the Taro Tiramisu & Taro Cheesecake were good. Tiramisu was creamy. And the taro filling in both tasted rather good, like those orh nรฉe desserts from those Chinese restaurant.

Refreshing, especially for a hot day, which is starting to become more common recently.

The Lilac Lemonade is an interesting concotion by the cafe, the drink changes color from blue to Lilac Purple, after pouring the lemon juice into the butterfly blue Pea beverage.

You guys know that weโ€™re mochi lovers and we simply could not resist ordering this gorgeous item. There was a good proportion of mochi to cake which was absolutely delicious. However, the roll itself was a little dry and dense - perhaps there could be more taro paste and chantilly cream in between to help lighten it up. We were eyeing their Taromisu ($7.50) because it looked really good and weโ€™d definitely get it the next time.

Every element of this beautiful drink was made from scratch. The taro paste at the bottom was sweet and chunky, and it paired perfectly with the creamy milk. The taro latte was definitely on the milkier side and we wished there was more taro incorporated into the drink. The hot version might have been a better alternative, as the staff shared that it's more creamy.
.
We also got to try their ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ผ ๐—œ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—บ which we really liked. We would definitely get it again with their waffles or affogato! We have to be honest and say that we werenโ€™t taro fans before visiting the cafe and were lured by how pretty their desserts looked in the different shades of lilac and purple. Nevertheless, we had an enjoyable and pleasant time at their cafe, and thereโ€™ll surely be a second time!
.
P.S. They do not have further service charge and GST, and you can opt for oat milk at no additional cost!

Find the cake (taro-misu) a tad sweet to my likings, the taro paste and cream are fine, but the lady fingers are rather sweet, if only the syrup that they soak the lady fingers in could be less sweet, that will be good.

Lilac Latte is taro paste with milk, overall not bad, not too sweet, suitable for taro lover.

Flat White was decent, tasted heavy-bodied, latte art a bit cmi though.

Cafe can accommodate around 28 pax, quite a nice chilling place.

Damage: $19.50 (dining time limited to 60min)
