Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
Lunch Promotion (11AM - 3PM daily) at $6.90 nett.
In picture: Spaghetti with Sausage (Choice of Olive Oil/Cream/Tomato based sauce), Beef Burger, Fish & Chips, Chicken Chop with Rice. Opted to switch rice to fries, but they ran out, which explains why the latter 2 have potato wedges instead of fries. +$2 each for salad & soup, which honestly isn't worth it. Soup tasted like canned Chicken Soup, even though it’s supposed to be Mushroom Soup.
Horlicks Ice Blended is pricey at $8.90 nett a glass— I mean, I get that it’s like a milkshake, but it also costs more than the food, & hot Horlicks is only $4.90.
One thing they need to work on is their staffing & perhaps the cooking process. Don’t know what goes on in the kitchen, but the food was served very slowly. 4 dishes served 1 at a time, the next one only served after the previous one was finished-- & this wasn’t on purpose. With 1 cook & 1 waitress, they couldn’t even handle 13 customers’ orders (this is half their capacity). Apparently it’s because they’re usually not so busy.
So would I dine here again?
Notwithstanding this hiccup above… YES! Not only can I walk home from here, but the
food is actually pretty yummy. & you get to dine in a comfortable, air-conditioned environment (I’m comparing this to Western hawker food btw). My favourites are the Fish & Chips + Chicken Chop; Beef Burger was mediocre (don’t bother) & spaghetti was so-so (mayyybe I’d order it with a different sauce next time). All were served piping hot, freshly made.
They also serve beer on tap, & have a dart board for drunken nights with your pals. 🍻 🎯
