🍴Loved the fluffy, soft, and airy texture of their #chiffoncake that managed to remain moist. Unfortunately, the family didn’t quite enjoy the flavour profile of the signature lychee rose tea chiffon cake. It had a distinct lychee aroma, along with actual lychee pieces (such a joy biting into a chewy sweet lychee) and dried roses. However, we felt that the lychee essence tasted artificial (a bit like canned lychee) and was a bit too overpowering (couldn’t quite any rose tea flavour). Given the great texture of the chiffon cake, would still be keen to try her other interesting and delicious-sounding flavours like earl grey lavender, cendol, or even their savory options like honey bacon chiffon cake in the future. While it is supposedly best eaten fresh, I also highly enjoyed it chilled (right out of the fridge). As for the Luna 7 #chocolatechipcookies, texture wise it was more crispy and (highly) crunchy which might suit some palettes but we would have preferred for a more chewy balance. The 75% dark chocolate also wasn’t as dark as we expected and on the sweet side. That said, the treats by cakeoclock are highly aesthetic (would make for a great gift) and the seller allows for customizations of sugar level upon request. For dark chocolate lovers, they have also recently released a 99% (!) dark chocolate cookie for those who might prefer darker & bitter chocolate like me.
