A surprise find along Harajuku at Tokyo, this Calbee specialty store serves freshly friend potato chips and potato sticks (like jagabee), complete with a choice of toppings such as cheese, sour cream, and chocolate. It's served piping hot, in fact too hot for the fingers at first, and it's so crisp on the outside and mushy sweet inside. Really shiok.. Almost wanted to buy a second one with a different flavour, but resisted the temptation so that I could try other snacks along the streets.
Was surprised to see a calbee concept store at Oshiage sky tree tower! Freshly sliced and fried potato chips! Got the White Day Limited Edition flavour with Royce chocolate drizzled over and topped w peanuts & sugar flakes. #calbee #japan #oshiageskytree #burpple
It would have been great. Except the chips were not salty enough and tasted very ordinary. The soft serve was extremely milky. I would give Calbee+ a miss.
The combination of savory & sweet = 👍👍👍 loving the Royce choc drizzling over the chips and the chips are not too salty, which makes eating junk food with less guilt!:) I definitely recommend this if you're heading to Harajuku! 😄😄
It was so good that I don't mind queuing to get another serving! Try it if you guys happen to drop by Harajuku!
