You can find a few gelato shop around Joo Chiat and I could say this shop is much hidden one among the rest.

Located along Joo Chiat Place, just a few shops away from the Joo Chiat Road. They served naturally and handmade gelato with no preservation and colouring.

Stracciatella is one of the popular flavour here, made of Delicate fior di latte gelato with crunchy dark chocolate flakes. Creamy and tasty.

Under #Burpple's invite, I got to try #CanvasGelato's entry for the competition!

The small outfit in Central Square is offering a beverage and two types of dessert using three of Dilmah's wide range of teas. The iced tea may be somewhat of an acquired taste for some, but I enjoyed the herbal "liang teh" profile that stems from the Herbes de Provence and a hint of lavender added to the Ceylon tea. My friend (hand model lol) said that adding the milk helps to reduce the astringency that Ceylon tea tend to have.
:
The Te-affogato replaces the espresso shot with Dilmah's Rose with French Vanilla tea, combined with a scoop of sour cherry gelato. This would be the perfect dessert drink in a Lolita tea party given the strong floral and fruity notes.
:
The peppermint tea sorbetto is quite apt as a refreshing palate cleanser, but I'm not thrilled about the unpleasant aftertaste.

Thanks @Burpple for the invitation, and Bryan from @CanvasGelato for hosting us!

Provençal Iced tea (w or w/o milk). Ceylon tea with lavender and herbs de Provence. The lavender was really fragrant and herbs de Provence was quite light. It's almost like a light herbal tea. Drink the milk version for a creamier smoother tea.

🍴
Peppermint tea sorbetto. A refreshing sorbet with lemon notes. The peppermint actually reminds of of the peppermint my ah ma grew in her garden ☺️ so it kinda brought back good memories. Definitely refreshing enough to clear any palette!

🍴
And then my favourites out of allllll is the Te-affogato! Sour cherries cinnamon gelato w a shot of Rose Vanilla Tea! It went so well together! The sour cherries cinnamon gelato with real cherry bits really did justice for my favourite Dilmah Tea 🤗🤗 .

For the taste of summer the Provencal Iced Ceylon Tea ($5.50) comes infused with herbs (rosemary and thyme) and their housemade lavender syrup. (Like “liang teh”) And by just topping up another 50 cents, smoothen the concoction and soften the herbal notes with a pitcher of milk.

And if that sounds like your cup of tea, make reservations via chopesg and simply vote at the listed cafe/ restaurant to stand a chance to win a 3D2N all-expense paid staycation at M Social 5 Star Luxury Hotel and gifts of tea from Dilmah till 31st July. Also be sure to share your photos of your tea-inspired treats with the hashtags #TeaInspiredAwards #TeaInspired #DilmahSG.

With three very distinct tea flavours, Canvas Gelato’s specially crafted #TeaInspired menu features the use of two teas from Dilmah’s Exceptional series - Perfect Ceylon Tea and Rose with French Vanilla as well as the classic Pure Peppermint Leaves. Refreshing and revitalising, the three items do needs some getting use to as the initial sharpness might be too overwhelming for some but it could very well grow on you gradually. As it was certainly the case for me.

Dairy-free, I found the Peppermint Tea Sorbetto ($4.20) to be light and bright with none of that sometimes uncomfortable cooling sensation. Perfect as a palate cleanser, the addition of lemon in the mix also gave it a tartness that tasted a tad confusing at first though it gets better with each spoonful especially so if you are a fan of peppermint. If you are all about floral, treat yourself to their Te-affogato ($6) with a shot of warm rose vanilla tea poured over a scoop of sour cherries cinnamon gelato.
