Cappadocia Turkish Restaurant is the perfect place to share huge plates of authentic Turkish delights with friends. The restaurant is lively with Turkish music in the background and friendly staff.

Anyone up for Turkish cuisine? 🇹🇷

Best known for its fairytale scenery, Cappadocia is a region in Turkey and also a traditional Turkish restaurant in Singapore. The eatery is helmed by Chef Mohamad Slim, who has over 20 years of culinary experience and has trained under Michelin starred chefs 🧑‍🍳

🌟 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝘅 𝗞𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗯 ($𝟰𝟵.𝟵𝟬)
Served with Turkish rice and salad, this mixed grill platter is huge. It comes with a combination of lamb kofta, chicken wings, chicken kofta, shish tawook and shish kebab. The fragrant rice with grains that fell apart individually was strangely addictive. Also came with sides of onion, vegetables, garlic mayo, spicy sauce and salsa.

We asked the server for some recommendations and she introduced this to us as lasagne with yoghurt 🤣

This comes with the option of chicken ($24.90), lamb ($26.90) and vegetarian ($22.90).

We chose the chicken version which came with eggplants, chickpeas, carrots and potato ingredients too. It does kinda fit into the description that we were told (albeit less cheesy than lasagne) 🧀

Our moussaka was served with 𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗵 (thin flatbread) that is meant to be dipped and eaten together. The flatbread be purchased ala carte for $6 if you need more (though I highly doubt so since we already had a hard time finishing this substantial serving that came with the moussaka).

Sprinkled with pistachio powder, this is surprisingly not too sweet! The crunchy vermicelli crisps contrasted well with the chewy core. Also appreciated how the sweet syrup came on the side. Also tried this dessert from another Turkish stall in the same vicinity prevously, but I prefer this! 💚
