All-in-one Concept Shop

With its entrance located in an alley along Little Bourke Street, Captains of Industry overlooks Melbourne's GPO across Elizabeth Street. By day, it is a cafe; by night, it becomes a bar as rows of alcohol sit on the shelves. They also two small units inside the shop, where there's a barber and a jeweller. A tattoo shop sits on Level 2.

They mainly sell sandwiches here for their food options. The Hemingway ($11.50) is a safe option containing free range chicken and BLT. For something strong there's the 3 Cheese Sandwich ($11), featuring an eclectic mix of gruyere, cheddar, and bocconcini. The coffee blend here is strong jumping up at you on first sip, but slowly leans to a chocolatey aftertaste. One cup costs $3.50, the cheapest of all the cafes listed.

Coffee jumps up at you at first on the first sip, but was smooth and then settled into a chocolate note.

Here's featuring two of their sandwiches - the Hemingway (Free range roast chicken, BLT - Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato) and the 3 Cheese (Gruyere, Cheddar, Bocconcini, and Tomato).

The Hemingway ($11.50) was a recommendation by the staff as the chicken was freshly prepared. True enough, the chicken breast meat was juicy and I liked the BBQ mayo sauce that came along with it. The 3 Cheese ($11) was reaaaallllyyy cheesy and rather oily as well, so if you're in for such an overdose it would be perfect, but it was a little too strong for me. The food here is pretty average but I guess the concept is pretty interesting as there's also a barber and a jewellery shop inside, plus the place turns into a bar (which is probably quite happening) when the sun goes down.

Heartiness (portion): 2/5
Tastiness (product): 3/5
Worthiness (price): 3/5
