Hands down the BEST croissant I had till date. Chocolaty goodness with loads of sesame and hazelnut hidden within.

Sweet and chocolatey filling with hint of sea salt. The thin tart base added a slight crunch to the dessert. Would definitely love to have more sea salt taste and lesser sweetness from the chocolate filling.

Omg! Soooo cute! It’s been awhile since i step my foot into this long-standing cafe. Now they are serving the mini version of their various tart flavours based on my colleagues who went recently and bought us souviner. I think it’s time for me to make a visit soon!

loved the vintage singaporean decor so much! we had an assortment of tarts.

1. sea-salt caramel chocolate tart (big one) - it tasted exactly like its name 😂 was good!
2. mini banoffee (basically chocolate & banana with cream), lemon cream, mixed berries & sea-salt chocolate tart. they also tasted like their name LOL but the tart base was buttery & crispy enough, & the fillings werent too sweet which made for a light & satisfactory dessert.

through our journey of finding this place, we discovered so many restaurants/cafés along this stretch that looked so good/were quite well-known & there was even an okonomiyaki restaurant beside the café flag white :o we were so shook & can’t wait to eat there again (๑>◡

Decided to try the brunch at Carpenter and Cook.
Ordered the smoked salmon egg benedict and a club sandwich. The service crew were nice to offer us 3 free tarts complimentary on the house as our food was taking longer than usual. Quite enjoy the food but the poached eggs were a bit over cooked. I prefer the lemon tarts! It's on promotion at 3 pieces for $9.

Loved the passionfruit meringue tart; and all their other pastries were good as well. Cozy and homely space with lots of vintage decor; i will definitely come back again for a bite if I find myself in the area.
