We’d brought along 2 lunch tubs but ordered 3 dishes. Staff charged an extra 90 cents into total bill before they were informed we had 2 lunch tubs. Staff subsequently charged 60 cents for takeaway paper boxes — yep, 2 takeaway paper boxes for one main dish.

This defeats the original environmentally friendly purpose of charging to deter ppl from using plastic. We don’t mind paying for takeaway tubs if necessary, but this cafe’s practice is out of the norm.

In addition, the staff set the boxes down, turned and went back to the kitchen without a word, even after we said thank you.

This is our first review on Burpple after using it for more than a year, simply because we felt compelled to share this experience. Needless to say, we will not be going back.

TLDR: bring a few tubs for takeaway or expect to be charged an extra outrageous sum for paper boxes.

Aglio was nicely seasoned. Staff were friendly :)

It's nice for fnb to still try to do BB during this period. Will be back for desserts!

Am not one to be picky about my ice cream; to me, if it tastes good and isn’t half melted, I’m all good. But on rare occasions, I do chance upon some pretty damn solid ice cream that I can’t get enough of, and Carrara sells some of them. They have quite an extensive array of flavours, but the crowd favourite is Milk & Honey, and for a good reason too. I love how the honey component isn’t too overwhelming sweet or cloying, and it’s a match made in heaven with the milky aspect of the dessert. It’s a very smooth blend that goes easy on the palate, with just the right amount of richness to leave you satisfied. Had a quick lick of other the flavours and they all seemed really good too, will be back to try them all.

We ordered 4 gelato waffle sets
1) earl grey lavender
2) salted caramel
3) espresso
4) salted gula Melaka

All sets come with ice lemon tea

We (6 of us) shared these 4 sets after a heavy dinner. Quantity: sufficient.

Our favourite gelato flavour is salted caramel. There was just enough cream and you can taste a good blend of salt and caramel. Our Next favourite has got to be the earl grey lavender gelato. When our dish finally arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how fragrant the earl grey tea in the ice cream was. Good choice. Espresso was enjoyable too, for the coffee-lovers out there.

The waffles were extremely crispy and light, just right for me.

Ambience at the cafe was great too. Many plugs for those who want to study here.

$12 for 2 sets of gelato-waffle with drinks. (1 for 1)
Staff was friendly and polite.

Value for price, would recommend.

Found a hidden gem @carraracafesg where they serve my favorite pungent fruit!

D24 Durian ice cream at S$3.20 per scoop is a steal when it is so rich and creamy! This was paired with their Red Velvet Waffle (S$8.40), drizzled with chocolate sauce and cookie crumbles.

PS: I will be your perfect date if you wish to buy me you-know-what!

Enjoyed a salted egg yolk fried chicken at sgd15.90. The flavour is good and always the best thing to pair fried chicken with waffle.
