For a taste of Japan's finest seafood, look to this joint in Wisma Lim Foo Yong for tasty eats. Named after Tokyo's famous fish market, Tsukiji No.8 directly imports their produce from there, so sit back and enjoy the fresh meats you're about to devour. Dive straight for the sashimi platters like the Sashimori 5 (RM128) with salmon and kampachi. Also good are the sushi rolls like the generously portioned Aburi Scallop Roll (RM26). If you're working around the area, the weekday specials are worth treating yourself to, especially the Nigiri Sushi Set (RM35).

Located at Osaka Kitchen, the RM22 yakisoba is delicious but portion might be a bit small for some.

I’m not a fan of udon but I really love this creamy curry udon! The creamy stuff is actually a mashed potatoes. Yums! RM21.90 comes with unlimited refill ocha!

If you love seafood and rice then this is a must order. Love how fish are cut up into big chunks and that the flavours are just so simple and tasty. They pile on the ginger so be careful if you’re not a fan as it’s quite pungent.

Probably one of the most reasonable Japanese lunch deals in town! You’ll get five pieces of nigiri and a mini roll and even though it’s small, it is filling. The fish are fresh, the tamago is sweet and I love how the sushi is served with warm rice (just like Japan!) Add on RM5 for a delicious miso soup and chawanmushi.

Okonomiyaki is nice but took too long to serve. Pricing is moderately high for the portion. While ginger pork set is so-so.

Tried the 5-course meal which included: silkiest softest sesame tofu, omelette with a little pork belly, avocado with cheese, grilled chicken and normal vanilla ice cream. The tofu and chicken were pretty yummy, avocado was unique but the rest was only okay. Will definitely return to try their signature okonomiyaki though!

Adding this to my top ramen picks! I’ve always had the pre-conceived notion that any ramen broth other than pork broth ramen wouldn’t taste as good but this place proved me wrong. Pleasantly surprised at the creaminess, richness and subtle punch of the broth. The chicken was really tender too. One bowl will cost you above RM20.

@udon.ichiyutei.lot10 Such a yummy dish at RM19.90. Mashed potato with curry udon, the bowl is big and fills the tummy after slurping all the sauce. It's that good.

The one thing constantly on our minds when it comes to Japanese comfort food is always that steaming, satisfying and warm bowl of Ramen! Usually we seek the porky version of ramen which is their highlight from every prefecture. But in the latest opening of Lot 10 comes a Japanese food court that specializes in things that are truly and uniquely Japanese. Enters the Kagura Ramen shop which serves Chicken ramen and the best part is that the broth are made daily and fresh with the help of a pressure cooker.. We couldn’t believe it with our eyes and ears that they could make a chicken ramen with a similar taste profile of a pork broth.. There are 2 types of ramen broth; the clear and the milky.. There are also slight price difference but we chose the milky one(Rm21.90) and you can opt for the set with sides depending on the price and drinks included.. The noodles are really thin yet delicate not overly springy and it complements the milky and rich chicken broth that has a depth of umami flavour and they also includes a thick piece of the chicken meat with a layer of skin that was really juicy.. It’s much healthier in this sense as it was really oily yet it was rich with an intense umami flavour.. So it’s serves as a healthier option for ramen if you want to take a break from the tonkatsu broth style
