Japanese cuisine with a wide range of audience favourites: Start with guilty-pleasure deep-fried snacks like battered chicken skin with a savoury crunch (RM6) and soft-shell crab with onsen tamago for a runny-yolked dip (RM26), then share sushi platters like ball-shaped temari topped with tuna, salmon, shrimp, surf clam, and yellowtail (RM28) and maki with lightly torched salmon, ikura, and mentaiko sauce (RM11) (RM29). You won't be thirsty with this smooth cold sake (RM30 per tokkuri).

Rainy days call for soup, and the house-favourite fish ball soup did not disappoint. A bit salty too, but the soup is super flavourful from the onions, garlic and spring onions. Quite generous with the fish balls and fish paste too.

Deep-fried kailan is served on top of more kailan – liked this a lot! Cooked in your usual anchovy and garlic sauce.

Tho a bit salty this chicken dish is call kinds of yummy. Sauce was thick, boasting sweet and spicy flavours – perfect for pouring all over your white rice. They also have this in medium and large options.

You may be familiar with this Punjabi restaurant's fiery fare in SS15, but you'll be glad to know they now also have a spot in TTDI! The menu ranges from fragrant briyani to made-to-order bread to pair with delicious curries. Signatures include the Palak Paneer (RM19.90), Mixed Veg (RM14.90), Mutton Curry (RM24.90) and Masala Chicken (RM20.90). Match those with the Veg Dum Briyani (RM13.90) or the fluffy Chapati (RM2).

You'll find this neighbourhood restaurant buzzing with families tucking into Homst's delicious Chinese-Muslim fare for dinner. Crowd favourites include the Steamed Egg (from RM8), Wet Buttered Chicken (from RM18), Curry Fish Head (from RM20) and HOMST Taufu (from RM15). Alternatively, swing by for a dim sum breakfast to have classics like Homst Siew Mai (RM10.80) and Homst Steamed BBQ Chicken Bun (RM8).

Stuck to some favourites for our other orders and all did not disappoint! Briyani was very flavourful and a bit spicier than I remembered. Palak paneer is an absolute no-fail – love how creamy and sweet the spinach curry is. Order the sweet lassi to help tone the heat down!

Opted for something different here – had to Google to figure out what this is – and very happy with this decision! Tender chicken is coated in a spicy, almost tomato-based like sauce loaded with spices and peas.

Set your sights on this cool restaurant in TTDI for unique and delicious sharing plates centred around Japanese and Mediterranean flavours. It's great for big groups and for those who are looking to try something new, just be sure to make a reservation especially on weekends! First-timers, begin with the cold Eggplant Salad & Sesame Dressing (RM27) that packs a punch with fresh pomegranate and fragrant fried shallots. Also have the simple and delicious Cold Noodles, Duck & Ponzu (RM35). For a sweet finish, Burppler Blueskies Cottonclouds recommends the refreshing Elderflower Granita & Bunga Kantan (RM25).
