Shawarma Chicken With Simple Salad
File this away for affordable family steak dinners. The chiller outside holds a stunning selection of meats from Wagyu Ribeye (from RM266) to Grass-Fed Striploin (from RM57). Customise as you go, choosing your marinade (MP's savoury Signature Marination never fails!), two sides and a sauce to have with your steak. The kitchen does a spot-on medium doneness, which keeps the meat tender and juicy.

This neighbourhood steak joint has been going strong for years dishing out their affordable and well-cooked steaks. You pick your meats from the chiller and there are plenty to choose from including Wagyu, Angus and even Salmon if you’re not up for meat. The kitchen cooks a pretty good Medium, with crusty edges while still keeping the meat moist and tender.
If I could have scrambled eggs this way, every day, I would. Almost like a shakshuka, the creamy eggs are folded in with peppers, onions and tomatoes. Love the homemade Iskender bread given on the side – use it to mop all of the sauce up.
Newly opened! The Sandwich Hub offers a simple and quick lunch option at an affordable price. Sandwiches are priced at RM7.90 to RM9.90. Was recommended the Sirloin, Shepherd and Indian Ocean. Decided to go with The Sirloin (RM9.90). Meat had good flavour but some pieces were very tough to chew. Served in toasted ciabatta.
Roasted lamb shoulder slices with caramelised onions, slathered with mint mayonnaise on ciabatta bread – what’s not to love? Though there was too much mayo for my liking, it’s still a simple and tasty sandwich.
Of course I had to order the Indian dish. This one of curried prawns was delicious! I had, however, wished for more prawns but given the very reasonable price tag, I still left a happy camper.

Be that resourceful Burppler-colleague who suggests this trusty spot for team lunch! It's best to order tai chow-style and fill up the lazy susan to feed the party. Go for the Nyonya-style Steamed Seabass (RM8 per 100g), a fresh, moreish fish that will have you chasing it with rice. Also delectable is the Black Pepper Beef In Hot Plate (from RM16), tender beef slices slicked in a mildly spicy, savoury glaze. There is also a Set Lunch menu (from RM33 for two) for easier, no-brainer combinations, replete with white rice and Chinese tea. Solo diners aren't left out; check out their Bento Set Lunch (from RM13) for a dual-dish meal or the Express Set Lunch (from RM13.90) for a main with free flow herbal tea and a dessert.
