Truly a legendary place located at one of the small alleyway in Chow Kit Market for more than 60 years old. You might find it hard to locate this place if you come for the first time. Just follow the pin on Google Maps and you definitely able to find it.

Here early morning just right after they opened ar 7am, there’s already uncles queueing up. You would see many of them will tabao a few packages.

Of course you can choose to dine-in. There’s wasn’t any tables and chairs in this shop, so you can bring it to the nearby coffee shop along the alleyway, do remember to order some drinks.

The nasi lemak comes with the basic condiments of fried anchovies, egg, sliced cucumber, stir fried Kangkung and Sambal.

Then do add their famous Hakka braised pork belly and the curry as well. It looks heavy for a meal in the morning but I would say it totally worth it.

A simple nasi lemak bungkus with a good size boiled eggs, ikan bilis and delicious sambal.

If you are not in the mood for the nasi lemak, the Pan Mee is probably the next best thing to order.

The journey there was rather smooth as traffic wasn’t as highly congested on a Friday morning and we got a table almost immediately when we reached but the restaurant soon filled up very quickly thereafter. Went straight for the signature Village Park’s Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng (12 MYR) and if there is one single dish that solidifies your visit to Kuala Lumpur, it has to be a visit to Village Park for this plate of goodness.

The coconut rice was aromatic and fluffy and sambal was a good balance of sweet and spicy. The x-factor has got to be the berempah fried chicken which was well marinated, juicy and tender. Everything was right about this plate and it was a great breakfast to start the day.

What a great find! This place offers Nasi Kerabu that is on point. Generous portion which guarantee enough to feed even a man. Amazed by the big size drumstick and the fragrant Basmathi rice. Not only the mains are well taken care of, even the side are well on point. Super crunchy and fresh fish keropok! Thumbs up.
Food: 9/10, Price: RM15

I'm sure everyone in KL would have been here or at least heard of this place as its nasi lemak is known as 'the best nasi lemak' in town.

I can't say if it is the best but this place definitely lives up to its fame. The fried chicken is the real star - it is crispy and well-marinated, and amazingly tender, moist on the inside. It is topped with lots of fried crispy bits of spices, which adds extra flavour and crunch when eaten with the rice.

Even though the rice might not be the most fragrant, it is very fluffy with each grain perfectly separated. Mix the rice with the well-balanced sweet-and-spicy sambal, so BOMB! Service was quick and efficient too as our food came in less than 10 minutes.

What have you got to lose ?! •

OR available every Friday only - chicken rice; either as an individual set or a whole chicken 🤤 can’t say no to its fragrant rice that goes well •

Not to mention another underrated dish here, fish ball noodle soup; handmade fish balls that are generously huge and fresh kinda bouncy 🙊 •

Watched it grow from a single store to 2 stores now, wonder if it’ll expand and take over Random Food Store’s space since it’s no longer operating #highlyRAEted •

Half Hainanese Chicken RM22.50 • Fish Ball Soup RM 7.90 • Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng RM10.40 •
