Very flavorful chicken hotpot - add your own ingredients into the pot and let them cook up a storm for you.

Looking at the good reviews me and my friends were really excited to give this place a try but the food was really bad. The meat in their chuan chuan are not fresh and I think their fridge stinks hence the meat has a really strong stench. They don't have a wide selection of ingredients either... Really bad and we're disappointed. Not coming back again.

The Sunday Champagne Brunch (~$148 per adult for free flow champagne) is a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon, with Taittinger Brut as the bubbly of choice here. Highlights were the self-service caviar bar, and a really fragrant yuzu cheesecake that got us going for a second slice even after stuffing ourselves with buffet mains.

Japanese barbecue - sinful but so good! Meats are of solid quality and the buffet offers a wide variety of side dishes like dry udon, garlic fried rice and cakes!

Asked for the latter to be made spicy too and although I didn't expect much from it, my friends and I enjoyed it better as it was drinkable, unlike the MLXG base. Both pots came with chicken which was fall-off-the-bone, and despite ordering the small size for both pots, there were quite a few chunks of chicken. Ordered zhong la for the MLXG and it was really ma and very la, super satisfying as I'd been craving for mala for the past few weeks. The mushroom and chicken pot was more savoury than spicy, and we actually liked it alot as the soup was savoury and fragrant, however, as the pot was over an open flame, the soup boiled down pretty fast and thus it became too salty. However, you can ask the staff to top up the soup so just do that whenever it gets too salty! Ordered some add-ons, but my favourite would have to be the mantous. Fried to perfection, the outer layer is slightly crispy while the inside is pillowy soft - and when paired with condensed milk, it was really a treat.

Trying this for the first time. There is 1 for 1 for burpple beyond. 2 small pots are good to feed 2 hungry adults. Need to be careful if eating with children as the chicken parts come with bones. Wife loves the food, hubby not so keen. Wife will bring friends here to visit again, while hubby finds that there are better alternatives else where. Wife prefers the fragrant pot, while hubby prefers the mushroom pot.

Good quality meats and Korean BBQ!

It was my first time here & I was impressed by the ambience. It's a nice place to go on a date... Then again, I expect no less, it being located inside the lovely Hotel Intercontinental.

We went on a Saturday night when it was quite packed. We paid about $30/pax. Meat was not anything to boast about, in fact it was incredibly salty. Would have preferred more selection of meats that were not marinated. For $30, it’s about the price you would pay if you went to an ala carte KBBQ restaurant. They do have a selection of other things like mushrooms, prawns, and free-flow drinks. For the price point, nothing incredible. May be a good place for a big group of ravenous friends.

As it’s Ash & Elm’s @ashandelmsg 4th anniversary last Friday, all customers had a free glass of Prosecco too.
