Paid $31.19 net (for 2 pax) after using the Burpple Beyond for their buffet lunch set, which comes with free flow drinks and ice cream too. There is not a very wide selection of meat and seafood is not available for the cheaper lunch buffet. However, the meat are well marinade. I really liked the pork collar, garlic pork, beef and chicken thigh. Their pork bacon is a lil salty for my liking. Overall, its a good and value for $ experience for us.

Came here for my friends gathering and utilise my Burpple Beyond deal. You can get one for one for their dinner buffet here but you have to complete your meal within the time limit.

This was pretty good! Tender chicken with drinkable broth. Our was the least spicy version, which was mild enough so you could slurp it down though you can ask them to amp it up with more spicy soup, or tame it with chicken broth. Definitely get bean curd skin rolls (like Beauty’s version) to dunk in!

Hubby ordered medium spicy, and most of us couldn’t take it. U can request to add some water/stock as it might get salty after boiling for some time. Overall is yummy, and definitely worthy with Burpple beyond. Will b back again.

This is part of the premium buffet selection which we tried at Tenkaichi, in addition to the meats.

Chef Rick Du 杜非 from Shangri-la Shenyang is in town from 11 - 23 March 2019 & he brings with him delectable Sichuan delights to Shangri-la's already-amazing dinner buffet spread at The Line. Expect tasty treats such as Fried Peppercorn Pork 尖椒豉香小炒肉, Spicy Crispy Chicken 香酥辣子鸡, Spicy Claypot Crab 香辣干锅炒螃蟹, & my personal favourite: Sichuan Chicken in Chilli Oil 口水鸡.

Chef Du enthusiastically talked to us about his dishes, & you can tell he really takes pride in what he brings to the table. It was an honour to meet him in person!

There is a first time for everything - so I am pleased to announce that I have FINALLY tried Mala 麻辣. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a hardcore spicy lover... Will probably never be. But now I get the appeal of mala-- 麻 which means numb, 辣 which means spicy.

The tender Sichuan Chicken in Chilli Oil 口水鸡 was what changed my mind & now I actually understand how a slightly numb feeling on the tongue is quite shiok. Coupled with that little bit of spiciness... Ok ok, I'm not a convert of hardcore crazy mala, let's just call this a very welcomed cultural immersion 😎

I'm the kind of person that can probably only order small spicy 小辣 stuff, but I'm glad my eyes have been opened to the world of mala. Maybe now my colleagues can finally be proud of me 😂

Prices start from $80++ per pax for not only these scrumptious Sichuan delights, but also The Line's usual awesome buffet spread.

Thanks Casey for the invite & for hosting us! 💕

Had one of the most fruitful days in the longest time. Enjoyed a relaxing buffet at The Line and also clocked more than 20,000 steps from this morning and evening's exercise!
.
The pandan chiffon cake from The Line was really fluffy with the right amount of pandan flavour and not overly sweet. Nice! Was tempted to buy one back from the Shophouse Bakery on our way home.
.
@NigellaLawson once said that pandan would be the next big food craze, but I'm sure we Southeast Asians are just too familiar with this ubiquitous ingredient in our parents' kitchens. What type of pandan-based food do you like? 🌿
