got a free hotplate fried chicken because we spent above a certain amount!! it's in an industrial building so don't expect everything to be hygienic though i lowkey liked the ratchet vibes💀

Not the whole plate obviously. It's serviceable, but cannot say good.

Chili crabcakes & mala kaarage are great, but what if I told you that they could be even better? Order a couple of carb dishes off @fattchoyeatinghouse Specials section to savour along with those small bites, and always get the Signature Pork Lard Fried Rice ($12++).

As for the Egg Fried Rice ($10++), it simply couldn’t compete against the hedonistic high of the sinful Signature Pork Lard Fried Rice, but it was excellent in its own right. Slick, fluffy grains of Taiwanese pearl rice are wok fried with lots of egg and fire, and the wok hei was certainly palpable with every grain of rice & bit of egg. That’s all there is to it and it’s really that simple, but in this case simplicity is sumptuous.⠀

Truth be told, I think Fatt Choy Eating House is missing out on big time by not offering smaller add on portions of either the kaarage or pork collar to both fried rices, making them individual meals. I fully understand & embrace the sharing plate concept that Fatt Choy is doing, but sometimes a man needs his own space. You feel me?⠀

Thank you so much for the hospitality, @kevin._.ngan & @fattchoyeatinghouse!⠀

This fried rice is surprisingly egg free, and is rice that’s been fried in a wok with an unholy amount of pork lard. The result is a super slick and sufficiently salty rice that’s smoky and studded with enough fried pork lard cubes to give an every nutritionist & dietitian in Singapore a heart attack. Top that off with a flow-y fried egg, and you have the REAL heart attack fried rice. Now, all I need with this Signature Pork Lard Fried Rice is some of that majestic mala sauce that went on the Sichuan dumplings.⠀

had a mochi-mochi texture but a little bland so best dipped in condensed milk!

curry sauce was really thick and rich! chicken was tender too but i didn’t really like the sambal as it was too sweet

If you are looking for some quality buffet, I think @tunglokgroup 's dim sum lunch buffet might tick your checkboxes! The lunch buffet is priced quite affordably at $43.80++, considering the fact that a portion of chilli crabs is served with the unlimited portions of zichar dishes and dim sum you can order. Here are some of my favourite dishes:

Chilli Crabs - the crabs given were pretty huge and meaty, and the sauce was just fantastic 😍 there was loads of egg within and it was sweet and savoury enough! Best paired with their mantou hoho

Salmon Sashimi - the buffet includes free flow salmon sashimi too! It's fresh but not the best. It was rather fatty and still decent.

Char Siu Puff - this was so addictive 😍 the puff pastry was very flaky, and I just loved the savoury char siu within. There was no pork odour and the sauce just complemented the pork floss on top so well.

Char Siu Bao - this is a classic dim sum done well. The char siu, as mentioned earlier, was flavourful and I loved the sweet fluffy dough that is hard to replicate. Meat to bun ratio was just right!

Now this is a place good enough to bring your family for a meal or a celebration 😍
