Even though Pastry Chef Fiona Ting was away on holiday when I visited “665 Degrees Fahrenheit” with family, Head Chef Josephine made sure we got to indulge in Fiona’s latest creations when the time came for desserts.
There were three in total for the four of us to share, each thoughtfully executed to satisfy whatever mood we may have been in to end our meal on.
My niece and I were especially besotted with the marvellous Mille Feuille. Stacked tall with elegant dollops of the intoxicatingly fragrant Valrhona Strawberry Inspiration cremeux and pastry creme, it also had organic gooseberry jam and pop rocks smuggled away in there for more taste and textural dimension.
This is a must-order even if you are stuffed from all the food that preceded.

The last time I went chef Chris made a super delicious risotto with grated dehydrated shiitakes for that unami kick. Can't wait to see what is in store today! 😬

PS: I really like this photo hahahaha

The large, very fresh lobster was smothered in a lip-smacking rich sauce that was both creamy and bright. If you feel like splurging on a piece of crustacean that won’t disappoint, this would be a good bet.

At $18++, they may not be cheap but I have to say, the steakhouse-style, thick-cut Truffle Fries are dangerously addictive. They are crisp on the outside and beautifully soft and mealy on the inside. The aroma of the truffle is strong and to make it even more intense, the fries come with a side of truffle-laced aioli for dipping.
Other side dishes you can also consider getting are the Green Asparagus ($20++) and Mac & Cheese ($15++) that I thought were executed on point.

Strictly speaking, you don’t have to order this because they come complimentary with every meal. But I just needed to share about the garlic bread here because it is seriously fantastic. They come piping hot and filled with plenty of melted garlic butter. Even if you are on a low-carb diet, this is something you should not miss.

I think many of us immediately think of halal meats the moment the restaurant “665 Degrees Fahrenheit” is mentioned because this upmarket, modern-classic steakhouse has built a reputation for serving a Muslim-friendly menu. And yes, that and the non-alcoholic wines they also carry, are what make them unique. However, based on my meal there, I consider the restaurant which is helmed by female Chef Josephine Loke, a wonderful dining destination regardless of your religion.
One of the appetisers that had me very much enamoured was the incredible Beef Pastrami and Bone Marrow Toast. The combo of crunchy bread, flavourful meat and roasted garlic was fantastic. This is a must-order in my opinion.

Sous vide egg on rice, plus beef, soy bean sprouts, kimchi, and zucchini. Can’t wait to pour on the gochujang spicy sauce and mix it all up! 😀 .

Great Makgeolli! Ordered the original ($16 for small) together with two sides (anju, Korean side dishes with alcohol) ordered the soy chicken ($18) and calamari ($18) very delicious but only suitable as a light snack! Will come back since I get 1-1 with #burpplebeyond
