Staying with our favourite Poulet chicken with signature Chardonnay sauce, we also tried their new Angus beef steak with foie gras created by JQ. But the verdict was quite a let down.
Since the last time we had Poulet few years ago, their chicken didn’t taste the same. The sauce was still delicious as before but the chicken meat tasted drier.
The new Angus beef steak was medium rare done right, quite good but not outstanding. Perhaps a feat these days with so many places offering good steaks with premium cuts. The ingredients on the plate were pretty good but didn’t come together well for a dish that’s be memorable.
Old or new, hopefully it was just a one-off at this outlet; or really that this wasn’t what we remember it to be anymore.

Alaskan King Crab Meat topped with gratinated home-made cod roe mayo, on aglio olio pasta with asparagus and chili.

Pasta was al dente. Taste was great. Good portion as well. Love it.

This lip-smacking dish is part of a special menu that is created exclusively for French rotisserie chicken chain Poulet by Celebrity Chef Justin Quek.  Diners can expect a total of three scrumptious dishes in this menu which showcases Chef Justin’s strength in French classic cooking techniques.  The other two dishes are En Papillotes Baked Seabass (S$15.90++) and Crème Chantilly Bitter Chocolate Tart (S$8.90++). 🍴

Chef Justin’s creations are available for a limited period at Poulet Bugis+, Poulet Raffles City (7 March onwards), Poulet VivoCity (14 March onwards) and Poulet Kallang Wave (21 March onwards). Do give the new menu a try and I hope that you will enjoy the dishes as much as I do.  Bon appétit!

Comes with free starter with each main course! We chose the quarter roast chicken with French onion rice and the chicken carbonara! This portion was just nice for 3 of us! The chicken carbonara came with a sous vide egg on top and was creamy and delicious, hitting all the notes of a classic carbonara with some added chicken pieces. The star of the show was definitely the chicken though, it was tender and flavoured well, the meat was soft and the skin was flavourful! Part of the lunch menu, thick creamy sauce to go with tender bite-sized chicken. The mashed potato is a tad dry in an otherwise refreshing tomato-based sauce.

Highly recommended to order this!

Among the dishes, the Risotto a la Striploin($22.9) and the Lobster Mentaiko Aglio Olio (Half Lobster$25.9| Whole Lobster $34.9) was the best for me. 🤩🤩🤩 .

You can get best of both dishes by having the Classic Lobster and Steak ($28.9). Or have a taste of their famous souffle fused in a lobster ( Souffle Risotto Au Lobster). Pair it with a Parmesan Cheese Truffle Fries for a perfect Meal 😍. .

The signature Miam Miam Spaghetti ($17.20++) came to me as a surprise as I didn't expect such fresh ingredients used. Unlike many other restaurant chains, the pasta had an al dente texture and didn't taste like it was pre-cooked. The ingredients used were fresh, especially the sweet and juicy tomato. The best would be the onsen egg, as when mixed with the pasta, provides a thick coating around the pasta noodles which gave them the oomph flavour. A wonderful dish indeed!
