Cheese was sticky although I expected a stronger cheesy taste that went well with the vinegar - like sauce. Was it Apple cider vinegar? We sprinkled some pepper onto it and it went well together. Haha.

Delicious batter but if I had to choose only 1 appetiser then I’ll go with their onion gratin soup.

Hubs had this katsu curry dish with the most yummy Japanese curry and super tender, almost Melt in your mouth beef! I would have mistook it for wagyu if no one told me.

Although there was not many slices of beef it was very delicious!

Fantastic and attentive service from the crew, they’ve never changed staff since I started going 3 years ago!! Authentic Japanese waitresses too 😄

A very worth it set that comes with delicious miso soup (not like your usual miso soup filled with msg kind) and ice cream for dessert!

Love their tonkatsu and Ma maison will always be my go-to place to satisfy this craving! Crispy batter and tender pork! Also love their cabbage and salad dressing.

Super attentive service and fantastic ambience for date night too 😊 they never disappoint!!

If you are lazy to choose what you want for their grilled skewer meat/ vegetable, go for their rice set that comes with 4 types of it including pork garlic mayo, bacon cherry, dumplings and others. $14.90

Feature Negitoro with sushi rice and special topping(marinated egg yolk ,tempura flake,nama sujiko,negi ) roll with seaweed.

- Egg was unfortunately overcooked. It was slightly sweet but would have preferred a stronger flavour.
- Firm noodles
- Rich, umami and porky broth
- Char siew had a fantastic charred caramelised taste and was very meaty, not the fatty kind but still had ton of flavour just felt that it could be less oily. Very satisfying and significant portion given.
For the price, I didn't think this was quite substantial though a huge portion of char siew meat was given. Would have preferred an option for complimentary noodle upsize and perhaps some vegetables or thin slices of char siew to be provided as well?
Taste: 8.5/10

Did you say $9.80 for Hitsumabushi?!? With the opening of @UnaUna.SG a unagi specialty restaurant, get to polish off these charcoal-grilled unagi Hitsumabushi from just $9.80~ That’s value-for-money, though you might want to upsize to their Regular ($14.80) or Double ($19.80) for more Unagi.

Ordered the all toppings mazesoba (bottom, $15.80) and char siew mazesoba (top, $13.80). I personally like the noodles (thick, chewy, QQ) and sauce, and there is also a free upsize option to 1.5x noodles. Quaint Japanese eatery right outside Bugis MRT- it wasn’t crowded at all on a Saturday afternoon.

Total for 2 pax: $18.60 using BB 1 for 1.
Do note that you can only order 1 all toppings mazesoba if you are using BB.

Moving forward from previous Grand menu and Summer truffle fiesta, @sumiresg is now having its incredibly decadent Kagoshima Wagyu dishes. Yayy! 🎉

My favourite from the A4 Wagyu series is the Shabu set served with kombu truffle soup along with mushrooms, vegetables and two traditional dipping sauces. While for those that likes a heavier taste, go for their A4 Wagyu Foie Gras Steak. From the Sanma series, my favourite is the Sanma Kabayaki that's well done & broiled in sweet tare sauce. 😋

Pork chop kuro fried Rice (13.90)

Skip the pork chop (unless you prefer crispy but hard meat) and have their Kuro fried rice! Fried rice was not bad 😊

Boiled spicy gyoza (6 pcs - 4.90)

Not spicy at all and the gyoza itself was quite salty.
However, it was quite decent for the price...

$8.10 dinner after 1-1 with my BB sis. V filling am so full but I finished my food! Carb load for tmr’s run wheeee. Their bugis outlet is closing on 28 Oct btw
