[CLOSED] Cha Nung (United Square)

@chanungsg is back with a brand new concept and menu! Apart from the usual bubble tea offerings, they will be serving 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 (凉面) with a 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙗-𝙖𝙣𝙙-𝙂𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩 at their new outlet located at Duo Galleria! This is such a brilliant idea especially for healthy eaters who are busy!

Azuki Matcha Latte
Pretty interesting as there’s a layer of azuki!

Their drinks seems to be on the sweeter side.

CHA NUNG (水巷茶弄) is one of the pioneer bubble tea brands from Taiwan and they landed on the shores of sunny Singapore about a year ago. Their teas are all freshly brewed every few hours to ensure the finest quality of fragrant tea as the base for their drinks. Definitely a good class above most other bubble teas available in the market today and my buddies from The Gastronomistz and I thoroughly enjoyed these for our New Year’s Eve Party! My NYE favourites are their Kanten Ai Yu【消暑解热】(super refreshing with basil seeds, Ai Yu jelly and more) and Winter Melon Macchiato 【芳香扑鼻】(sweet and refreshingly aromatic, balanced by the creamy savoury frothed cream).

Finally head to Cha Hung for Matcha Latte. I always to be last few for exploring novena area especially need to walk a bit from mrt exit. yes, I like matcha with red bean ($5.80) but I just go matcha with red bean lol bc got no favourite place to go with. I got a struggle to choose between matcha with red bean or macchiato. I should be getting Matcha Latte but I got Matcha Latte for Liho on Monday. I ordered matcha latte having sugar level (30%), less sugar and red bean ($0.80). So their matcha standard is not that bad and at least it got that bitter standard for matcha. just nice to match with red bean (sweet taste). I also like their red bean toppings were being soft and crunchy. for me, their topping was quite too much for medium drink and managed to eat finish in the end.

We never get over bubble tea and here we have the latest addition. Cha Nung is also another bubble tea shop originated from Taiwan.

For refreshing drink, you could go for their Jasmine Green Tea with pudding. Ask for lesser sugar as the pudding itself is sweet enough.
