We used to travel to Chai Chee for lunch just for this back when I was still working around Bedok. Not the cheapest lunch option, but you get many pieces of fresh fish slices slicked in a thick, savoury zhup begging to be spooned over rice. π€€ It might be a little salty for some, but I always found it so satisfying slathered over rice, especially with sliced chilli padi.
So greedy I ordered the $4 portion instead of the $3 one ( for more "liao" π)
Decent Lor Mee but thr gravy could be thicker and richer, and should ask for more vinegar and chili.
But strong garlic flavour, I felt sorry for my tutee. I felt I could scare off a dozen vampires π

Fresh fish slices which was bouncy and tender soaked in savoury zhup with a slight spiciness!
Store was generous, serving large slices and there was about 8/9 pieces of it!
