Yummy! The noodles are similar to HK egg noodles, was springy and had a nice bite, tossed in a dark sauce but there was a bit too much sauce tbh. The charsiew was flavourful and tender, but kinda too fatty for my liking - will ask for a leaner cut next time! Lots of veg, lard was crisp and good too! I usually just have 1 smol piece to check if it’s nice and I think this is a worthy one to have. Wantons were delish too! There’s 2 pieces, and each is silky smooth and stuffed to the brim with prawns, pork, scallions, and black fungus. Flavour was great, and was tender and bouncy. Liked that u can add scallions and green chilli on your own.

Place was almost empty at 12.15pm. No lunch crowd. Ordered their prawn noodles (Chef Kang’s Prawn Noodles duh) instead of their Hot stone Prawn Paste Spare Ribs rice. Service was fast but then there was no other customer to serve.

Perhaps I was all hyped up by the reviews I read. Perhaps I’m spoilt by the likes of Beach Road Prawn Noodles but I felt disappointed as the star dish of the restaurant was really mediocre. Stock was neither bland nor flavourful. Noodles were blanched about right but there was no Omph!when coupled with the prawn stock. The prawns themselves were not very fresh as evident from the difficulties in peeling the shells. Rather, the star of the dish was the prawn paste spare rib (actually a generously large piece of pork chop). Crisp on the outside juicy band tender meat inside with just a hint of fat. Very flavourful as well from the prawn paste marinate. I almost ordered another piece.

Not happy with the dish overall, since I came for prawn noodles and got a very good pork chop instead. And rather expensive at S$10 a bowl. At one stage I actually suspected Chef Kang is no more associated with this restaurant. Not coming back.

Sweet umami prawn broth with big head prawns and prawn paste chicken chop served with your noodle choice. The takeaway packaging was really compact and separates the noodle from the soup to prevent sogginess.

Soup was too sweet for my liking. Kinda pricey for the amount and quality of ingredients given.

The prawn soup is legit! Not like super thick but you can smell the prawn smell from the next seat when the noodles came. The har cheong gai is tasty but it would be better if its crispy. The claypot rice crisp up nicely with the heated claypot. Overall will come back if there is short queue and I'm around the area but will not come back just for it.

Comes with deshelled prawns + yellow noodles, thin bee hoon or mixed. Downer for me because don't have the thick bee hoon that I favour.
Soup was really sweet-tasty, may not be everyone's cup of tea (or broth).
Comes with a side of har cheong (prawn paste) pork ribs.
At this price, as I was eating I had a conversation with my wife, is it value for money??? Conclusion was, yes if you compare with ramen. Why ramen can charge $15+++ for no liao??? BUT less value for money when you compare to hawker prawn mee la...the har cheong pork rib can't cost $7 more right? So the premium comes from Chef Kang's Michelin brand.

Another Downer - only cash accepted. For a small restaurant eatery set up, I expect more convenience.
