Cheok Kee Boneless Braised Duck (Geylang Bahru Market & Food Centre)

It’s a joy to leave in matured estate Geylang Bahru as I’m surrounded by some good local hawker food. One of the favourite stall in Geylang Bahru Hawker Center is Cheok Kee Braised Duck Rice. Where else you can get a good braised duck rice for a $3? The meat is tender accompanied with tasty sauce. Yum!

Long snaking queue during lunch.

The chilli wasn't that fantastic and the rice was a little bland.

The duck meat has a good texture but the overall taste was normal.

Boneless braised duck drumstick, so tender.
Duck skin’s fat was just nice.
Interesting dark sauce fluffy rice.
$4.50 with bowl of soup.

Prices are at $3 for a plate, $3.50 for set meal for 1 person and $8 for a 2 persons' set meal. Having operated here for 2 decades, this stall draws a long queue, from regulars to customers. This Duck Rice ($3) can easily be eaten on its own without the duck, as the rice is marinated nicely to provide a soft yet flavorful taste to it, and with the braised duck sauce, the taste gets enriched! Comes with generous amount of duck meat and soup as well!
