Seriously what a deal!? Of course we got this lah!
Other than the buffet, each table is also entitled to a free box of fried chicken for each a la carte dinner dine-in - but I mean, a la carte means nothing when there's buffet at $17 right?!
Not sure how long the promotion will last though, didn't ask. The place's pretty authentic such that the owner & staff would provide table service every now & then. Wish I would've eaten more.

But it's missing here. Could be because there were a lot more people by the time we ordered beef kway teow, because we waited for more than 20 minutes and they were serving multiple plates of it to various tables. Nevertheless, it is decent, just not great. It's more sweet than savory. But there were lots of beef so that justified the $7. Will stick to beef horfun, hope every plate will be consistently as good as my first!

Was walking along my regular food haunt when I saw this new restaurant, with a large poster that proudly proclaim themselves to be the Geylang Lorong 9 beef horfun since 19xx (decades ago).

Curious enough, I went in to try.

Very surprised! Beneath all that 鼓汁 (fermented black soybeans sauce) are fierce kway teow with lots of wok hei. Couple that with the spicy black bean sauce, and you get many fiesty mouthful of this beef horfun.

The weather has been punishing these few weeks.

It is reported that the temperature can go as high as 36 degrees in the second half of March!

This glass of iced milk tea is called 三色奶茶 (Tri-Coloured Milk Tea). I thought the bottom layer is gula melaka, but there's a familiar refreshing fragrance to it. We think it's 冬瓜 (winter melon)!
