Was introduced to this place by a foodie friend, and three of us had the lunch set (price starting at $20; to add extra for certain sides and drinks, and also dessert!)

The laksa crab linguine and the sambal crab fried rice were recommended by the waiter, and with good reason. The laksa was thick and substantial; the linguine texture was pretty good too, although it was a bit hard to taste the crab in the dish. The sambal crab fried rice was pretty special too! Very well-recommended as we could get two sides + 1 drink per lunch set - worth it!

We also had the famous truffle duck popiah; it was a large portion but very, very good. I’ve visited this place again recently with another friend, and will be back next time :)

(To note: Only the a la carte mains, not the a la carte specialities, apply for the 1-for-1 main course deal on the Entertainer. If the specialities were applicable, we would have gone for the lobster laksa linguine instead!)

Coconut taste was strong in the steamed rice flour pancakes which were fluffy and the sourness was just a tinge. While the pancakes were good, the sauce was mostly gula melaka and too sweet, not much banana taste at all

My first and this was very well done. Thin crispy pastry, beef tenderloin was so tender and surprisingly extremely beefy, hardly any chew at all. Lovely

And the most surprising part is that for a restaurant like this, you would expect the flavours to be muted, but no. The bush keluak sauce was full on flavour, not everyone will like that and it's brave of them to not compromise

The mushrooms were braised in a different sweet sauce

Portion was small, half a slab of ribs is really quite little for a grown man.

Ribs were tender but slightly overcooked thus dry, the marinade was quite interesting though, you never see peranakn inspired marinade. There's a bit of Babi pongteh-ness but not v strong, mainly coconut and other spices. Rice was avg, the achar was decent, and their homemade sambal was not v strong but quite special, it's got a bit of funk and sweetness
