CHICHA San Chen
After our dinner, we were really craving for something sweet and refreshing. Knowing that there's a new boba store around the corner, we decided to give it a try - good choice! However, it can be a little pricey (since it boasts a 3-star Michelin star equivalent award).

We ordered the 25% sugar Mango Osmanthus Oolong tea with coconut jelly ($5.20) and the Fresh M with Brown Sugar Bubble ($5). the mango osmanthus tea was rich, refreshing and blends well with the mango flavour. The freshly brewed tea was strong and fragrant, with a pleasant aftertaste lingering around refreshingly.

The brown sugar milk tea was sweet and creamy but might have been too sweet for my personal liking. However the pearls were chewy and the tea had a caramelized taste (if you have a sweet tooth, you'd like this)!

Overall, the ambience of the store was really good but a pity since due to the COVID19 we weren't able to wait in store and witness the making of our teas. The glass windows were a little too dusty and was immediately noticeable but their signature teapresso did impressively catch our eyes though!

Overall, we felt that it was a little overpriced. Although our drinks tasted great, the price wouldn't be something we'd go back for soon! Maybe occasionally, but definitely not a routine.
We'd give it a rating of 8/10 for taste but 6/10 for VFM.

Slightly tangy, with true quality oolong brew 🍂
I LOVE Chicha’s premium tea leafs

The queue at chicha was really crazy when I walk past the outlet in JEM and I was really curious: is it that good? When I saw that they are opening a branch at boon lay mrt, I was thinking - that's great no need to go over to JEM and I will try to get a drink during off peak. So I seized the moment when the outlet was just a few days old and not many people know that they are open in jurong west to get my hands on one of their signature---the oolong milk tea. The oolong was fragrant and smoky. You can tell that its truly premium grade. I love their pretty vintage paper carrier packaging. But for the crazy queue, don't think it was worth spending that amount of time to buy a cuppa.

hands down one of the best milk teas I’ve ever drank! plus there isn’t a queue here like the Somerset branch

$4.70 | With so many bubble tea shops stepping foot in Singapore, ChiCha San Chen has got to be my favourite. Tried another type of tea today, Cassia Black Tea with Cream and Glass Jelly and I’m pleasantly surprised. The tea scent is super strong and SO good! Definitely recommending this to those who love their tea to be super strong in taste.

The staff gave us to try Green Tea with Mango and 100% Sugar, very refreshing combination.

Please do not make silly choice like for example asking for no sugar here. The milk was off portion and i can only taste the strong milk flavour and none of the tea flavour. The packaging was nice and gives that nostagic feel.
