Was shocked to see a long queue even though it has been months since it opened (see 3rd pic). However, I soon realised the waiting time is because they brew each cup of tea on the spot instead of dispensing it from a tub of pre-brewed tea like most bubble tea shops do (see 4th pic). Taste-wise, I do think it tastes more premium and higher quality. It's also less sweet than usual. The 50% sugar tasted like a 10%. I usually get 30% at Gong Cha and this was less sweet than that - but not in an unpleasant way because the tea is light and refreshing, not bitter.

At this price point, it's not something I see myself returning for often, but I would get it again if the queues disappear.

Price: $4.70 ($3.20 for Ding Ding Oolong Tea + $1.50 for fresh milk)

Chi Cha San Chen (吃茶三千) has been getting loads of hype. Besides it’s nice aesthetics (although not sustainable), the teas here are pretty solid as they are freshly extracted and brewed upon every order. My favourite would be the dong ding oolong milk tea ($4.70) with no sugar (my standard sugar level for bubble tea) as there’s a strong tea flavour can be tasted even when fresh milk is added into it. I didn’t try the fruit tea but my friend said it was really good.

$4.70 // BEST BBT IN SG!!! the cream made the drink thicker and sweeter and wowww the pearls, so chewy and also quite big (they were really round, was impressed lol). even though it’s more expensive than the usual shops, think it was well worth the price (and the calories) and the tea was freshly brewed and of good quality taiwanese tea leaves!! yumZ!!! rly want to b back lol

They brew the tea upon over. You can taste the tea aroma. Value of money

Not the best brown sugar, should have gotten their pure t series!

This is my 3rd cup of bubble tea this week 🥺😱 So bad for the environment I know, I’ll cut down definitely. We waited about half an hour or longer for this drink! There were quite a few options on the menu like Ding Dong Tea, Green Tea, Osmanthus Oolong Tea, etc. We felt like bubble tea connoisseurs drinking this qualiTEA bubble tea.
The pearls are, as they say in Taiwan, very QQ!! (Chewy, and the right amount of firmness!) Would recommend if you are a bubble tea addict.
The top mousse is quite foamy and yummy. The sweet and warm black pearls were generous in quantity too. Just expect the wait time to be a while! But it’s totally worth it for the price, Chicha San Chen is much better than Wan Tea and ShareTea which I had earlier this week.
PS. Chicha San Chen is from Taiwan and was established in 1998! The paper carrier is really cool AND ALSO VERY CLEVER - you don’t have to hold a sopping wet bubble tea cup covered in condensation from the ice 👍🏻
