Chicken Up (Tanjong Pagar)

361 Wishlisted
Chicken Up, Singapore’s No.1 Korean Fried Chicken, has been home to authentic Korean dishes and the Chicken we all love for seven year now. Known for its unique taste due to its preparation, Chicken Up’s distinct flavour is mainly because each chicken part is treated to a 12 hours marinating process using the original Chicken Up recipe and then deep-fried to seal in the flavours. This process ensures that every piece is bursting with succulent juices and tenderness to create a great satisfying taste. Chicken Up started in 2010 in Singapore with a vision to provide a casual dining experience and introduce some of the authentic Korean cuisines in the country.

Fried squid with tteokbokki; kimchi fried rice, steamed egg, cheese, fried dumplings, creamed corn.

Everything on the platter was good, but the steamed egg really stood out to me 😍 slurps.

Super worth it with the entertainer 1-1

Had ganjang soya half chicken, bulgogi pancake and popcorn chicken in yangnyum sauce. Enjoyed the popcorn chicken the most because it suits lazy people like me who wanna enjoy chicken bites at the same time (though it is a bit pricey compare with the portion). The bulgogi pancake is a interesting try but was a bit messy when you are having it since they put beef in between two pieces of pancake. The soya half chicken is too salty for us.

Good for 3-4, this huge ring should seem slightly familiar to those who've had been to Korea (at least for the pan itself). The fried squid was yummy till the batter, but it was too tough to chew probably because it had been laying around for awhile after it was fried and then dipped into the tteokbokki mixture to heat up with the rest.

The tteokbokki was slightly spicy but the sweetness in it compensated. Ingredients in that red sauce included fish cakes, onions for flavour and thick rice cakes, coupled with some cabbage.

Lined around the tteokbokki is fried kimchi rice, sweet corn, dumplings, cheese and half a perimeter of steamed egg to take away that spice.
