Affordable chilli pan mee. Egg is moderately cooked yet yolk runs, creating a yolk effect. The chilli and condiments mix well into the pan mee allowing for a balanced umami taste. Moderately salty.


For lunch with friends after class, you can count on this cosy kitchen for noodles with a spicy kick! Super Kitchen serves a superb version of Chilli Pan Mee (RM7.50) that comes loaded with minced pork, fried onion bits and ikan bilis. Unlike archetypal pan mee joints that offer various noodle choices, here you'll find their default thin, chewy noodles coddling a single poached egg in your bowl. The lack of variety fazes none of its fans. Add dried chilli flakes sparingly (it's seriously spicy) and mix through with the gooey egg yolk as a binding agent — the resulting flavours are stunning. The noodle dish also comes with a bowl of soup, laced with sweet potato leaves and eggy bits. To share, order also the Deep Fried Pork (from RM9), scrumptious slivers of fried pork marinated with nam yu (fermented bean paste). Cooling drinks like Umbra Juice (RM3.50) and Barley Fu Chuk (RM3) will come in handy to subdue any leftover spiciness.

There's obviously no way we'd make a trip up and not have our favorite chili pan mee – no way. We attribute it to these thick and chewy egg noodles that resemble a thinner form of pappardelle [cause we sure love our pasta], and the aromatic and fragrant chili flakes that we can't get enough of despite the heat.

Now if only we had this in Singapore. #GourmetAdventuresInKL

Subang is almost a second home to us, having made countless visits to close friends over the years. Each time we're back, we always have a hard time deciding on where to eat – there's so many great local restaurants! Hence why we usually have two dinners, and here's our first.

Hands down the best chili pan mee we've had in Subang thus far [the locals will vouch for it]. Really love the texture and tenacity of the thick and chewy noodles – way better than Face To Face! Also, their dried chili flakes are more fragrant and spicy – we might have been a overly ambitious with a huge scoop of it, but it is soooo good! Definitely must try when you're in KL. #GourmetAdventuresInKL

Price wise : cheap 7rm . portion is big , soup is nice. The chilli is spicy. Even they put a warning label "seriously spicy" hahahaa...
