Folks in CBD, hereā€™s another amazing lunch spot overlooking Singaporeā€™s iconic Marina Bay.

Known for Mexican food and bottomless cocktails, CHIMIā€™s has a Weekday Lunch Special ($12) with drink, available on Monday to Friday between 12pm-2:30pm.

Choose between the tacos trio or a more filling burrito bowl, topped with Carne Asada Beef, Chipotle Chicken or Borracho Fish. In fact, we canā€™t get enough of those tasty beer battered white fish paired with jalapeƱo mayo, atop Amarillo rice.

Just a change of some bar grubs to go with the Happy Hour over here. Their Carne Asada Beef Tacos (S$14.00) comprised three soft tacos with the roasted beef chunks and a slap of guacamole on top.

Though I might not be the biggest fan for soft tortilla (since they mostly gave a limp touch to this delicious street food), the combination of ingredients was actually not too bad on hindsight. Things might get a little messy as the jus and the guac could escape easily from the tortilla, so watch out for any drips or spills as you down this snack.

A lovely chicken bowl from Chimis! The amarillo rice, pico de gallo, tender and juicy chicken and salad were amazing ingredients on their own. When mixed together, each bite was simply a flavour bomb of sweet, spicy, savoury and earthy flavours! I added more habanero sauce for that extra kick and it was superb. A really delicious bowl for lunch or dinner, and paired really well with their cocktails too!

Chimi's is a pretty cool outdoor spot. Although it's outside, the huge ceiling fans don't ever make it seem hot. Lively with music, conversation and interesting sitting spots make it a nice place to visit with friends or a date - if not for the food, then for the atmosphere.

Pretty small portion, but it was pretty good. Don't expect the fanciest Mexican place, this is certainly a spot to chill and chat with friends, but the tacos definitely weren't bad.

It's passable, but not very satisfying without meat. Pico de Gallo needs a bit more kick too
