OH YES try the peanut + peanut butter one - it will make your day I promise!!!!

From a humble stall called Jing Mei Prawn Mee, this prawn mee was actually pretty good! The broth was potent and very flavourful, and the prawns were fresh as well. Think it's quite a steal to get this quantity and quality for this price!

From 合兴砂煲肉骨茶

A bubbling hot claypot caressed by fire; sliced pig’s liver and kidney for $5, side served fluffy rice $0.50.

Comforting soup.

Chinatown Complex Market & Food Centre has reopened! And I’m glad this stall has reopened too as it’s run by two elderly ladies. I was afraid they would retire but am truly glad they didn’t. They have an assortment of fried yong tau foo to complement their well fried mee/kueh teow/bee hoon and this very tasty old school laksa. Each yong tau foo is freshly made and fried to perfection. The laksa curry is just spicy enough enough for those who prefer it less spicy and to those who love it more spicy just add their chilli sauce. Others who prefer the fried mee etc order it with addition of the yong tau foo or just plain which is good too. Warning - food may be sold out by late morning. Am certain when they close for the week. Likely Mondays.

But what caught my attention was the free bowl of rice for customers above 60. The lady boss understood the environment of the market. She chose to give back to her customers by giving free flow of rice. Finally after almost 2 years of word of mouths, she found her stable customers base. .
Tender ribs with thick and herby soup. Healed the soul and gave much comfort. Recommended. .
Happiest Bak Kut Teh located at Chinatown complex. Closed on Monday. Open for lunch and dinner. It was found near the escalator.

Sgd 3.50. Look out for the stall with the red signboard. Charsiew that just melts in your mouth however the sauce given is a little too much though
