🌟☺️ Nice Hor Fun in Chinatown. Ordered the S$6 portion. Got wok hey and the sauce was flavourful, not too salty. Alot of fresh ingredients like sliced fish, chicken and prawns. This is my 2nd time eating this. Recommend 👍.

I ate this on a Saturday morning 10.30am. They have other tze char dishes but I have not tried them yet.

We had the xiao long bao which is priced at $6.50 for 10 pieces. I find that the skin and meat is good but they wasn't much soup to enjoy. However for that price, I can;t really complain much.

Each portion was at $2.50 each and the prawn dumpling was sold out when it was my turn to order.

The prawn chee cheong fan was alright, siew mai was big but meat I felt was dry. I would say the most outstanding dish would be their char siew bao which the meat and sauce is flavourful. All dishes are handmade.

123 Seafood is one of the three zi char stalls that pride themselves on steamed fish head in hot sauce in that chaotic corner of Chinatown Complex. While many may recognise the other two fish head stalls instead, 123 does serve a rather quaint interpretation of hot sauce fish head.⠀

The sauce in question is a very interesting cross between sour plum and peanut butter. It’s nutty, tangy, slightly sweet & spicy. It’s not particularly salty, and it’s more sweet & sour than anything else. As for the Song fish head, it was a little past peak freshness, but the flesh was still acceptably supple. The fish flesh was steamed to perfection, retaining its moist flakiness that combined with the viscous sweet & sour sauce surprisingly well. Plus, there are ultra crispy deep fried lard cubes for an extra oomph & crunch to the dish.

For fifteen bucks nett, this is a great example of why Singapore’s hawker culture has been designated as intangible cultural heritage. Delicious, satisfying heritage.

Very delicious and fresh Kuehs from kueh Ho Jiak hidden at the row of stalls behind hawker Chan.

For 2 dollars , you can do a mixture of 4 Kuehs.

My favourite will always be their sweet potato ondeh ondeh . QQ and tenders and bursting with a generous gula meleka filling .

Comfort food

Another dish from 123 Fish Head stall is this prawn paste pork. It was indeed juicy and less bone.
