📍 Chindamani Indian Food Stall (Serangoon North Ave 1)
- Egg Prata🍳
- Kosong Prata🥞

If you are someone who likes crispy prata, this is for you! If you prefer the doughy/ chewy prata, then maybe this is not so ur kind of prata.

The kosong prata was crispy until, like CNY love letter that kind of crisp I tell you~ while I like it crispy, but I find it a little surfeit (jelak) after the 2nd bite, find it a little too oily, not the normal kosong prata which I can eat on its own, must eat with curry to ease the greasiness.

Find their egg prata performed better, crispy on the outside, a little chewy and moist inside, and probably cos of the egg, I find their egg prata less greasy somehow.

As for their curry, pretty std, not those very spicy kind, easy to handle even for those who can’t take spicy food.

Do expect a long queue during lunch hr, waited for abt 20min on a Sunday afternoon.

If you are near the vicinity and like crispy prata, don’t mind the long queue, can come and try this out.

Damage: $3 ($1.20 kosong, $1.80 egg)

Ordered both their most basic variations, the plain and egg, to try and the unique selling point is the crispiness in the texture. However, it can get quite oily after a few mouthfuls but if you eat it with their slightly thicker curry, it will be a good complement to each other.

Their statement is bold - Singapore's crispiest prata. And indeed, they live true to their claim! It's by far the prata shop with the crispiest prata that I've ever tried. I was there at 8pm ++ on a Friday evening and it was the only stall with a queue - approx 5-6 pax ahead of me and each customer ordered 5-10 pieces?!?! Their prata was so crispy that it breaks into pieces each time I try to poke it through with my fork. Yes, you've to kinda lift up the prata pieces with your spoon before dipping them into curry. I also tried the egg prata - it wasnt as crispy as the plain, original crispy prata but thin enough for that perfect dough-to-egg ratio. One can down a few more prata pieces here as they're so thin that you don't find it cloying. Their curry was pretty good too - I appreciate how it isn't as salty as how some places makes it. This is the perfect place to start .. or end your day!

Wow. Just look at that egg. Matched with their famous prata. Probably the best plaster I've eaten.

Constant snaking queue spotted in the Coffeeshop for this highly raved prata stall. Really crispy exterior but I find it a lil on the oilier side which I’m not a big fan of. Feels like I’m eating paper prata after sometime. Dough could have been more flavourful too.

Accompanying curry is good!

Plaster prata $1.50, plain prata $1

Prata is super thin and crispy. Not too oily. Plaster has oozy egg yolk when cut through. Both fish and chicken curry gravy tasted excellent. Will return for more! Also, excellent service as the staff are always smiling and polite.
