Grab the gang and prepare for meat sweats at this spicy fried chicken spot! Decide on your spiciness level (ranges from mild to insane) before ordering the crispy Tenders ($10.90 for three pieces) to share, or the tender and juicy Quarter ($9.90, choice of thigh & leg or breast & wing) if you're ordering for one.

Can you take the heat?🔥 Even with my decent spice tolerance, anything above medium spice leaves me with a dead tongue! But get past that and you’ll be rewarded with crisp skin and juicy flesh. I’ve tried the Extra level before, and boy does that slow burn hurt (and that’s not even counting the Insane and Off The Menu levels), but somehow I still keep coming back for more. 😂

Three jumbo tenders fried till golden brown. The skin was noticeably crunchier than the quarters'. We managed to get different spiciness levels for each tender — extra, insane, off-the-menu. I'm glad I didn't order the insane hotness for my quarters because it was really spicy. Not something that I would be able to fully enjoy on its own UNLESS it's for a prank or shared among friends. The off-the-menu was way way spicier than the insane hotness. It literally burnt my tongue, gum and mouth ceiling, but glad to report I still came out alive. Insane hotness is my highest limit as of now :) but spiciness aside, the tenders were really good and worth ordering!

Really enjoyed the lousiana style fried chicken served here! The chicken is seasoned according to your choice of spiciness level, so pick your heat wisely. I ordered "extra hotness" for the thigh & leg meat and was pleasantly surprised with the juicy, tender chicken beneath the thin golden skin. Don't be too quick to judge the chicken skin! Although the "extra hotness" pepper looks brighter in comparison to the "medium hotness", it slowly burnt your tongue as you ate more of the hot, juicy meat. Only order this if your tastebuds are ready to handle the heat!

[Halal, Eatup, Available on Burpple Beyond] For those new to Nashville Hot Chicken, the story behind this revolves around the girlfriend of a man who was so inflamed that she made him devilishly spicy chicken for him as a form of payback. The gag is that the man found the spicy chicken so good that he turned it into a business venture. 🤪

The spiciness intensifies exponentially with every tier. The difference between Medium Hot and Extra Hot is your mouth feeling like it’s engulfed in flames. So choose your level (or challenge if you will) wisely. 😱

Spicy food veterans would know that there are numerous types of burns that the heat brings. For the Extra Hot, it takes a few bites to set off the spice singe. Move up one tier to Insanely Hot, and it’s a different case. It doesn’t immediately singe your mouth, but once it slids down your esophagus, that’s when all Hell will break loose. I think I drank too much Ice Lemon Tea during the Eatup because the heat wouldn’t let up! 😭 If you’re prone to getting indigestion, I will stress again - choose your spice level wisely!

If you’re able to get past the burn, you’d realise just how lip-smackingly good the fried chicken here is. The flesh is succulent, moist and juicy. The skin, crisped enough till it gets grooves that trap the dry spice rub. It’s greasy, spicy greatness that will leave your body in shambles, but will strengthen your resistance to spicy foods. 🤤🤯

Thank you so much Burpple for extending the Eatup invitation to me! 😛

The coleslaw ($2.90) tasted different as well, it was refreshing and we found out it’s due to the cumin added to it. Thank you @chixhotchicken for the warm hospitality and @burpple for the invite! ☺️
