Exclusive one night only dessert using @creamier_sg Mochaccino ice cream ๐Ÿจ plated with Vanilla Panna Cotta, Vanilla Tuille, Cookie ๐Ÿช Crumbles, Almonds and Cranberries at @cshhcoffee for the second stop of Surprise Me! - Jalan Besar Food Hop (S$20/ pax).
Served with a cup of hot coffee โ˜•๏ธ. The ice cream was smooth and creamy without too jelat which one finished it easily.
No wonder the volunteer who brought us around said that by second stop we would earn out $ back.

The portion size was rather big and they were really generous with the individual ingredients as well. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve seen that much bacon in a Carbonara before!
.
I personally felt the cream was a tad bit too watery for my liking and the cream was a little overwhelming as it had a very โ€œeggโ€-y taste. The egg was also slightly overcooked. However, the bacon and noodles were cooked well and overall, itโ€™s still an above average dish.

Refreshing white cold brew made in house to kick start the morning. Unfortunately it pales a little in comparison to Old Henโ€™s. Almond croissant with sweet butter kaya filling topped with crunchy roasted almond was rather decent. Nice atmosphere but a little crowded on a Sunday morning. 3 out of 5 mochi ๐Ÿก๐Ÿก๐Ÿก

I love the smoothness of the White Cold Brew - definitely worth a visit on a cool night

Was a little disappointed by this rice bowl as it tasted rather bland and i felt it couldโ€™ve been much tastier. The salmon was kinda overcooked (looked like it was cooked sous vide style) and there was not enough terriyaki sauce. The combination of the white radish slices, tamago and avocado was interesting as they provided a crunchy yet creamy texture to the dish. Overall, it was lacking in flavour and iโ€™m unlikely to order this again.

But you desserts. Had their black bean chocolate cake ($6.80) which was rich and moist and not overly sweet, with bits of gritty pulut hitam embedded inside. The Earl grey cheesecake ($7.80) is a must have. The floral and milky notes of earl grey tea flavour from each bite is spot on.

When I'm spoilt for choice, I go the easier way out - just order all! A set of 5 old school Ang Ku Kuehs costs only $5. All the flavours tasted awesome and I just can't single out a favourite. I guess I need another platter of all 5 to comment more. ๐Ÿ˜„

I was really feeling their Pistachio Lemon Cake (Gluten-Free)! This muffin-shaped cake was really moist, and puts up no resistance when you take a bite of it. ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿฐ It had an immaculately balanced tartness as well to counter the sweet components, which was truly welcome with open arms. Donโ€™t underestimate its difficulty in attaining that balance though, as a jot of difference in the level of sourness can make it unpleasant - the kind that makes you scrunch your face and have you like, โ€œNOPE NOPE NOPEโ€. But personally, I think they nailed it with this.

Overall though, the texture remains as the highlight of this dish. (7.7/10)

Eggy soggy fluffy bread. Stewed apple was amazing, on the contrary 4/5

A cup of Chocolate a day isnโ€˜t gonna hurt either, eh?
Use the candy as a stirrer!
Hot Chocomint - S$6.8

Lavender olive cake ($6.8) a bit dry, but taste like a good banana cake 4/5

Iced latte ($7)

The front entrance is like 180 degree different with the dark, homy cafe inside. Really nice service

Sriracha dog ($18)-juicy sausage, slightly sweet bun, spicy and acidic gravy. Quite nice 4.25/5

Wow! I didn't expect to find Tanglin Crispy Curry Puff from Hong Lim Food Centre at Chye Seng Huat Hardware for $2.80 each or $5 for 2 pieces. The staff takes the effort to heat it up before delivering it to you. Served hot, the flakey crispy skin wrapped with fragrant curried soft potatoes and the comforting hard boiled egg was simply delish. ๐Ÿ˜‹

This would be the kind of dessert I would have every week to reward myself for working so hard for the other 6 days. But I have to make a disclaimer that this dessert is "berry berry" sour than you can imagine. From the raspberry sauce, assorted berries, and to the huge strawberry, the acidity is as intense as the colour presented. But it complements the sweet and creamy ice cream cheese cake so well. Definitely a must-try!

This dainty citrusy cake was the best partner to the acidic and aromatic coffee at the cafe. I loved how the floral fragrance blends so well with the rustic and moist cake made from mainly orange and olive oil. ๐Ÿ˜
