Just the sight of the pie hitting the table detonated our hunger - the pock-marked, leopard-spotted crust was swathed in dobs of Fior di latte mozarella, ham, mushroom and parmesan, as well as a beautifully oozy egg smack dab in the centre, making for an umami flavour explosion in each slice.

Nice in an unremarkable way and definitely overpriced for the portion size and taste. While the octopus was well-grilled, it wasn't the most tender, and the tzatziki as well as frankly rather underseasoned and dry fregola seemed like a mismatch.

Utterly delicious. The dough was on point, with a complexity and body of its own. Salted as well. Toppings of mushroom, runny egg, fior di latte etc were all so feel-good. A must-try for sure! So incredibly satisfying

P.S. it's a juicy pizza so the dont wait or else the crispy dough slowly gets soggy. Use the crust to mop up the juices!

I learnt that the place is pronounced (chi-ke-ti) lol

The octopus was abit too meaty, not quite as tender as I expected. Lacks crisp and char as well. Fregola pasta was avg, doesn't rlly add anything to the dish. Salsa was too little to matter, but I liked the tzatziki. Most importantly, it's vv expensive for this standard, and it's just a small tentacle

A tad unconventional, the Tonarellj Nero ($28++) features thin pasta infused with squid ink - it had a creamy consistency and slight brininess. It complemented the fresh crab meat very well and speaks volumes about the thought behind each dish! The spicy crumb and use of fresh chilli gave it a pleasant spicy kick. A very enjoyable, unique pasta!

Cicheti is well known for its wood fire oven, which sits in a corner of the cosy establishment. We ordered the prosciutto e rucola ($28++), which seemed like a popular choice! The pizza base was delightfully crisp at the edges and chewy on the inside, topped with a layer of tomato and fior di latte. The parma ham was well seasoned and complemented by the arugula. This is easily one of the best we’ve had!
