From the Burpple community

Used Burpple 1-for-1 for this. We ordered their wagyu ribeye set and I chose their tomato soup base. The meal comes with a basket of veggies and some beancurd/fish paste accompaniments. They also offer condiments (eg chili padi, soy sauce, even ikan bilis/peanuts). The fish soup base was surprisingly nice, and tomato soup base was flat.

Overall the meal was pretty good but unmemorable. We were trying to finish up our meal but were still eating at 10pm. The staff, in true pagro fashion, started to switch the lights off row by row to hint us to leave.

LOOOVVVVEEEE!

Fish soup broth was sweet and salted with some salted vege, tastes very nourishing! The mala soup is a MUST order. You get a basket of vegetables and your own choice of carbs (they have various noodle choices, rice and even lu rou fan) per set. WORTH IT!

The burpple one for one deal comes with a plate of beef and basket of mixed vegetables. The hotpot is in individual pot which makes it convenient and hygienic for a group of friends that wants specific soup selection. Beef is of great quality. The place is constantly blasting taiwan pop hits, great atmosphere to be back!

Back in the office but craving for hotpot during lunch? City Hot Pot has your back!

And amidst the current COVID situation, diners can be assured about hygiene standards as you will each have your own individual pot! And the best thing? You can go for dual soup bases (+$1) too!

The newly launched lunch special menu is available from on weekdays from 11.30am - 3pm and includes your choice(s) of soup bases, your desired mains options (8 to choose from), a vegetable platter, a staple, sauces and small dishes. We tried all of their recommended sets (Wagyu Chuck Eye Roll, Seafood & Meat, Seafood) and came to one conclusion: It's a steal! Despite the price point, City Hot Pot did not save on the quality! The meats were of a quality cut while the seafood was fresh, with no fishy taste that you will normally associate with hotpots out there.

I also want to point out that their soup bases (14 to choose from) are really good, with very robust flavours; one of the better ones that I have had! My favourite was the herbal chicken soup base and they serve up some includes unique ones too, like Laksa, Bak Kut Teh and Kimchi Soup. And psst, your vegeterian friends can join you here too!

Vege platter was normal, there's like 2 fish cakes kind of yong tau fu, and two thin slices of tau kee, bunch of dou pi, yam sticks were good after cooked in mala and as usuals tons of vege at the bottom.

Mala soup was nice but oh my god the tomato soup CANNOT MAKE IT! SUPER DILUTED! Disappointing. Not worth to go if no promotion. Go ShiLiFang also way better than this place.
