🐱 - Chicken Burger ($22)
The chicken patty is slightly oily, but luckily it’s not too dry on the inside — a common mistake in chicken burgers. The buns are nice and soft, the French fries crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the coleslaw is just, oh well, a typical coleslaw, nothing special. Also what’s with that lonely quarter-strip slice of the poor pickle when there’s room for more pickles…?!?!?!

🍵 - Pancake with warm maple butter ($20) w choice of blueberry (high recommendation), banana walnut or chocolate chunks. I really like their thick pancake but I managed to eat two of pancake pieces only. It was too much for me and good for sharing with people. The pancake got eggy taste and quite soft texture. The warm maple butter and blueberry sauce was really thick and sweet aftertaste. The sauce complemented well with the pancake 👍

We were lucky to try their pancakes before they close their Singapore outlet for good! The pancakes resembled that of mcgriddles muffins but more fluffy! The maple syrup was really thick and fragrant. However as the serving size was pretty big, this could get quite jelak towards the end. Nevertheless, still a wonderful plate of pancakes!

I fondly remember when Clinton St. first opened in our sunny shores, it was all the hype for a long period of time, and you can see photos of their Blueberry Pancakes circulating around social media. I have eaten it several times, and I can attest that it was truly one of the better pancakes in Singapore.

Fast forward 7 years later, the restaurant will be shutting down its operations in Singapore and I made my way there for one final hurrah for the Blueberry Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter ($21) and Chicken & Waffles ($22) for a sweet savoury brunch. The iconic pancakes came in a stack of three, thick and hearty, with a generous topping of the blueberries sauce with the warm maple butter by the side. As for the savoury dish, the buttermilk fried chicken is drizzled with a honey-tabasco sauce over a vanilla butter waffle, and the same versatile warm maple butter by the side. You will be missed, especially the blueberry pancakes.

Finally I understand they hype over their pancakes. Fluffy pancakes served with generous amount of blueberries. It’s already tasty on its own but the warm maple butter just elevate this dish to another level.

had the Spanish scramble and iced latte! tasted good with the slightly buttery hash and fluffy eggs, but nothing too special :0 portion is pretty big couldn’t finish. total damage is $31 and drinks were half off or 1-1 (forgot oops) during the time we went

Although the pancakes don’t look as thick and fluffy as before, there is no lack in fragrance and deliciousness. The sauce is plentiful in blueberries and has a nicely balanced sweetness.
Still a winner in my book and deserving belly space for sure.

Shared this Spanish Scramble because the stir-fry of eggs, sliced chorizo, juicy cherry tomatoes, caramelised onions, smothered in melted Monterrey Jack cheese is massive. Bulking up the plate - hash browns and sourdough toast. I think it’s good value at $23++.
The eggs are quite well cooked and there’s a generous amount of ingredients mixed in, so it’s really tasty. Love it with a dash of Tabasco.

Possibly one of the best buttermilk pancakes I’ve ever had!!! Loved the maple butter and the blueberries compote kinda balances out the sweetness of the pancakes and maple butter. Got a little gelat at the end but I finished it anyway 🤤🥹

🫐🥞 Blueberry Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter ($20++)
Really fluffy and thick pancakes! The warm maple butter topped it off really well! Would recommend trying! I personally preferred the chicken and waffles as I would not pay $20++ for pancakes but they were definitely good nonetheless!

Pictured: Walnut + Banana and Chocolate Pancakes

Thick fluffy cloud pancakes, worth every single calories!!!! The portion is a bit too much for me, so if you’re feeling famished maybe you can order one serving for yourself

Limited menu, but the pancakes are really to die for!

We found their French toast too soggy for our liking even though it came with generous toppings of caramelized bananas strawberries and walnuts. The French toast is already quite sweet by itself hence the maple syrup was not really needed. We thought whipped cream would have been a better choice instead!

Every table had this so we had to get it as well and it didn’t disappoint!!! The pancakes were abit dry but the flavour was really good (yknow how some pancakes just taste like flour) The blueberry compote was sweet and tangy to the right extent so it really whets your appetite. Paired it with the warm maple butter and it was so good…. The serving is really huge! So I’ll recommend 2-3 girls to share it. Or even 4 girls if you guys ordered many other dishes to try. 10/10!!!

This was so good!!!! The fried chicken was so well seasoned and juicy. Paired it with their maple syrup (which wasn’t overly sweet and artificial) and this was chef’s kiss!!! 10/10

We decided to order the buttermilk biscuit sandwich after hearing that this is one of the signature items at Clinton Street! The biscuit resembles the sides served at Popeye's even as they resemble bread on the outside. However, they are a lot less dry at Clinton which makes it a lot easier to eat!

One of the biscuits is served with tomato jam, although the jam was rather light and the taste of tomato wasn't too strong! The other biscuit is served with scrambled egg and melted cheese and we really loved this as it was a lot more flavourful! The melted cheese and fried egg really helped to make the biscuit a lot less bland. 😋😋😋

The dish comes with bacon strips and hash browns as the sides and these are pretty standard items that cannot go wrong. Really decent dish for $18++ and the biscuits are more than enough to fill your tummy! Clinton Street is pretty crowded even when we went on a weekday morning and it would be best to make a reservation beforehand!

We got this dish as the appetiser! The fries were lightly salted and the sweet potato taste was pretty evident! :) Only downside was that the fries appeared to be slightly on the soggy side. Nonetheless, it is a decent appetiser to start off our meal at Clinton Street!

Amongst countless cafes in Singapore, it is definitely difficult to find one that still manages to impress you and Clinton Street Baking Co. is one of them!

Apparently originating from New York, the cafe is known for the air-flown addictive maple butter that unquestionably needs to be drenched on every item that they have.

The Chicken & Waffles is probably their most acclaimed item on the menu, next to their Pancakes. The chicken is flavoured with a honey-Tobasco sauce that makes it slightly sweetly, savory and tasty enough to be eaten on its own. However, paired with the soft and fluffy waffles, the crispy texture of the chicken and the soft texture of the waffles blend together in harmony. It might seem questionable, but do add the maple butter to the entire dish as the sweetness adds another layer of flavour.

Do note that the chicken & waffles is a sweet-savoury item!

The pancakes is probably right next to the Chicken & Waffles in terms of its popularity. The pancakes were extremely generous as they were delicious. The pancakes come in 3 options - Blueberries, Banana Walnut and Chocolate.

For the Banana Walnut Pancakes, the pancakes were fluffy and were paired with sugar coated walnuts and mini bananas on top. While everything in the dish is sweet, it was surprisingly not overly sweet even after adding the maple butter. The mini bananas gave the pancakes a sweeter flavour profile but was still distinct from the sweetness coming from the pancakes and the maple butter. The slight bitterness of the walnuts were a perfect match to the sweet pancakes.

Do note that the portion size is quite big and we noticed a few tables were not able to finish the pancakes due to its sheer size.

The mocha and cold brew were not outstanding but were still well made. The mocha is richer in espresso than chocolate, giving it a stronger coffee aftertaste. The cold brew was much less bitter than most counterparts elsewhere. Milk and sugar syrup can be requested as well.
