Honestly I'm not a huge fan of beetroot, but this is a really enjoyable dish. The goat cheese and beetroot is a match made in heaven as beetroot's distinct flavours mingled beautifully with the robust dairy, whilst the puffed quinoa created a gratifying rice-cracker like snack.

The burrata added a rich savouriness and the olive oil's fragrance opened up the dish, while creating a delicate pool of heavenly nectar.

You can see why Cheek has Michelin pedigree, and thr service here also reflected it. The bread was my highlight of the set lunch ($78++) at Cloudstreet, but loved all the other courses too.

My main, ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น, was stunningly tender with a delicate crispy char on the skin. The mushrooms and chestnut puree added a fresh earthiness to the dish, whilst the sharp sweetness of the red wine jus created an elegant medley of flavours.

The truly enchanting part was in its perfect storm of flavours. It carried dainty sweet notes from that gorgeous molass glaze, which was complemented by deeper savoury notes of the licorice and stout, adding a magical breadth to its profile. Topped off with the heavenly butter, I couldn't help but wolf this down.
