Cold Storage now offers freshly baked bread (not sure exactly how fresh, but definitely more fresh than the packaged bread on the shelves) and they are really cheap. At $3 a loaf on average, for even sourdough, I’ll be hard pressed to find a better deal, and their bread is actl pretty decent. Come early as they sell out by evening.

This ciabatta was vv moist but a bit too wet, tho not gummy. It sports a soft crust, and was fragrant from the herbs. The pumpkin flavour is not distinct, just a slight hint of it. Also there’s some flaxseed and nuts that gives it some additional texture.

The Cold Storage at Great World City has revamped itself into a much more premium supermarket that has offerings such as an oyster bar, sushi and 30-hour stone baked sourdough bread.

I tried the salad for the first time. For $7.90, you can get 1 base + 1 protein + 2 toppings + 1 dressing. I liked that they have interesting dressings that differentiated this salad bar from the rest. I got the tahini yogurt dressing - it was sour with a nutty aftertaste. The only gripe I have about this salad is that all the ingredients are extremely cold, even the teriyaki chicken. I would have preferred that the chicken was warm, as it would have brought out the sweetness of the teriyaki sauce. But it was still a tasty and healthy dinner, and good for days I don’t want to eat so much at night.

Farmers Union Greek Yogurt (Honey) ($2.50) I always eat yogurt in the cup instead of pouch. I felt that honey 🍯 was not that strong taste but the yogurt covered up the taste of honey instead. Yogurt for Farmers Union was quite smooth and thick flavour and its worth to try it out on different flavours.

Dark chocolate and coffee. The 2 things I enjoy combined into one. Simply delightful.

Fancy some awesome MEE sua? 🍜 Pop by @hashtag_896, an eatery conveniently located beside King Albert Part MRT & a concept by @laojiangsuperiorsoupsg! It serves up comfort eats that has a taste of home! 🏠
.
While Lao Jiang is known for their seafood soup 🦐🐟 (their Signature Noodle Soup is available here too), this bowl of 896 Signature Dry Mee Sua takes centrestage here! 🌟
.
Featuring al-dente mee sua with a firm bite doused in a sweet-savoury sauce, this was reminiscent of 炸酱面 to me! 😋😋😋 Comes with 2 prawns 🦐, some tender pork belly slices 🐖, crunchy black fungus, dried mushrooms 🍄, & a perfectly runny tamago 🥚, this bowl ($12) makes a pretty hearty meal! 👌🏻 Oh, how can I miss out the sprinkle of crispy pork lard that adds a nice crunch & irresistible fragrance! 🤤
.
Got the Prawn Paste Popcorn Chicken ($8) to munch on, which proved to be a right choice! ❤❤❤ The prawn paste flavour was rich & robust, while the sizeable chicken chunks were fried to the perfect golden brown - crispy but not overly dry! 👍🏻 The accompanying chilli/cinchalok sauce aced it further! 🌶
.
Quenched my thirst with this beautiful cocktail! 😍😍😍 Nahhhh I’m kidding - this healthy Beautiful Red ($7.50) is actually a mix of apple juice 🍎, cranberry juice & beetroot essence! ✌🏻 Other drink alternatives include Lemongrass Jelly ($2.50), Barley with Winter Melon ($2), or canned drinks ($2). 😉

Thank you @hashtag_896 for having me! 💕

Possibly one of the most expensive chips around for the small quantity at this price point. But the strong aroma fragrance that comes along makes it so hard to resist.

A little on the pricier side cause I ordered salmon which cost additional $1.50 otherwise usual ingredients will set you $7.90.
Love the salmon as it wasn’t fishy however pasta was a little cold and hard which might be due to me buying it just right after they open and taken from refrigerator. It was good overall.

Recently found a gem for superfood at cold storage. The prices are quite reasonable with the portion they give. Ordered the rambo jumbo and it was really filling. Definitely recommend this if you’re on a budget for superfood.

Basically is just beef flavour chips from this Brets brand which is on discount. The beef taste was kind of weird and it doesn’t really taste like beef to me. Beef flavour in this bag was too subtle.

Real rock deli brand has this interesting flavour and being the adventurous us, we definitely grab it off the shelf to try. The first bite that hit me was the citrusy lime taste with the tingy sour flavour and followed by the mild black pepper at the back. Interesting combination that turns out really well. Definitely will be back to try the other flavours from Real rock deli brand.

New flavour on offer so why not? Slight salted caramel flavour but other than that it is still the same old kitkat!

British brand semi-skimmed milk, chocolate flavoured. Compact size that is travel friendly.

The math will tell you that buying a tub of ice cream is more economical than spending 4 dollars on a single scoop of ice cream at any ice cream shop.

But I have been rather apprehensive all these years thinking that the store made ice cream would be fresher and probably more superior In quality and taste .

I saw this earl grey gelato on discount at Cold Storage and was thinking why not ...

The authenticity of the early grey flavour and the creaminess and smoothness of this locally made ice cream really blew me away. This pint really lived up to its name of being called a gelato .

It is really the best early grey gelatos I have had .

The plus point is that it is not too sweet and at 10 dollars - it’s gives you a bang for your buck 😋

Apparently, this well hidden sashimi bar is tucked behind the sushi corner. Limited seats but cosy spot for some time alone away from the hustle & bustle of city life.

Ordered their Salmon Don ($19) which comes with generous & thick slices of sashimi 🐟 and Ikura. Their sashimi r fresh & plump! Definitely beat some of the big names in the market 😏

Apple juice found in Cold Storage. Made with Aomori apples only with no other ingredients. Naturally very sweet and very good balance of sourness. Seems to taste even better when served with ice or super cold. Though I don't drink a lot of apple juice, this is the best that I have drank.

There's also a green version that's slightly more sour (made with different apples from Aomori).

without add-ons, you get a leafy green, 3 toppings, seeds/dried fruit and a dressing for $4.99! what a steal 😍 and you can add on protein like chicken or cheese at $1/add-on. i had: romaine, cherry tomatoes, pumpkin, soba, dried fruit & honey mustard + add-on cheddar cheese & lemon garlic chicken! i split this into 2 meals (lunch yesterday & today) bc the portion was huge (& cooked the second half bc i didn’t feel like cold food today 😂) cooked & raw versions were both good but raw was better bc i dislike cooked lettuce hhh i was still hungry/not satisfied after the cooked one tho bc it seemed so little so i stole some of my sis’s fried rice & mackerel fish 🤪

I am not a particular fan of salad. But recently due to health reasons, I began a healthy diet regime which consists of me trying out salads around the office area. Despite its slightly expensive price tag, this bowl of salad packs a punch, the amount of kale they serve definitely makes you full. The lemon roasted broccoli is also one of my favorite, along with the olive oil lime sauce. Sadly, they are trying out a new menu now and they kinda not appeal to me :(

For a quick and healthy meal post gym - cold storage recently launched a pretty decent salad bar. Choice of 1 base, 1 protein, 2 toppings & 1 sauce at $7.90. Good variety and portions too. Definitely beating saladstop in the amount of protein they give 😋
