Similar to astons with a heftier price tag, Collin’s surely doesn’t disappoint.

Ordered the Argentine Angus Sirloin Steak ($22) medium rare. Really juicy and tender, but there were a lot of fats on the steak that my hoomans doesn’t eat. But they didn’t mind for the price. There were also complimentary sauces and sides such as edamame and mashed potatoes. The edamame was quite disappointing.

Great company made for good conversation over a lovely 2 course lunch. The friendly staff made our day, cos we had good fun having good-natured banter with them.

Damage: $28.50 nett per head for the ribeye lunch set. The bowl of beans and starches was hehe the only portion I left untouched. No, I wasn't gonna eat that.

I’m a growing man-child, so believe me when I say that something is truly satisfying when I talk about portion sizes, because that’s something I certainly care about. Whilst expensive, Collins does not scrimp with their ingredients, and that’s a solid A in my books. The greens cover the beauty of chunky salmon bathed in cheese, but this was a really solid and hearty meal. The salmon flakes off well and carries the heat from the pan, while the gooey cheese completes the umami profile of this meal. The only turn off point for me is the price, but for the premium ingredient of salmon, I’ll chalk this up as a luxury treat from time to time

The perfect meal for people on a low carb diet. The steak was perfectly cooked with a golden brown crisp and a moist, juicy core. Served on top of a pile of capsicums and beans, you also have the option to dip in a buttery gravy for enhanced flavour. Definitely will revisit again for the affordable western available at Collin's.

Grilled octopus tentacle slices with garlic aioli and crushed potatoes, served on a hot plate. The grilled octopus was really tender and not rubbery at all. Crushed potatoes were really nicely done and had some crisp to it due to the hotplate. There was abit too much garlic aioli, but not a big issue as you can just scrape it off and set it aside.


Ribeye steak served with seasonal vegetables (beans & carrots), mushroom potato au gratin, and 2 sauces. Steak was done medium, as requested but could have been better done with a char for some crisp.
