This mashed potato is extremely tasty! Rich in truffles taste. Should definitely not miss this out when you are there.

Kueh kueh lovers should not miss this out at the dessert section.

Dinner buffet at Colony. Their seafoods were really fresh! Prawns were extremely huge and juicy..and the atmosphere was cosy and intimate.. Definitely a place to celebrate special ocassions with your loved ones.

Enjoyed the 5 ceramic tin high tea (~$49++) from Colony in a beautiful colonial setting 🏛 Started off the set with a choice of alcoholic beverage: Champagne/ Raspberry or Lemongrass Prosecco. Opted for the raspberry cocktail which was pretty and sweet yet the alcoholic taste was still there.

Went on to the savouries: consisting of seafood, beef pastries, chicken puff etc. Personally liked the chilli crabmeat with sambal crackers [pic3] and lobster sandwich with mustard sauce [pic4] and pickled onions the most. Chilli crabmeat sauce was sweet and thick, and the crab was a decent portion!🦀

Having a sweet tooth, the dessert buffet was my favourite part.😍 Scones, tarts, cakes, Madeline’s, Nonya kuehs, ice cream, chocolates, gummies+ popcorn was all part of the buffet. There was a peanut pancake (roll??) station, which was a peanut roll with ice cream and BOY IT WAS GOOD. Sweetness of the taro ice cream and the saltiness of the peanut surprisingly complemented each other, and I ate the whole thing. Thought the addition of kuehs were a nice touch too and enjoyed the kueh lapis with prunes, ang ku kueh with coconut filling, and rainbow kueh a lot. For cakes, the Oreo cheesecake was hands down probably the best at the cake section, or maybe the chocolate mousse. Passed on the ice cream since I was so full but it looked really gao 🍦 [partial selection shown in vid]

Ended off with the colony signature tea with a choice of ginger or lavender syrup (I chose lavender, and no regrets, it wasn’t too sweet and there was a slight lavender taste too)

Went for the Sunday Dinner Buffet. First of all, Super classy and gorgeous setting. Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful and attentive too! Double thumbs up👍👍

Onto the food, fresh seafood available such as King Crab legs and mussels and loved the oysters!! Local cuisines were done well (Laksa and Char Siew) the Chili Crab sauce was too starchy and sort of sour but still loved it with the mantou and the crab was 👍Special shoutout to the popiah which is unique as there was a good prawn taste to it and crunchy bits.
Definitely love it!! Except the satay which the meat were too tough and sauce were too thick.

My favourite of the night was the Wagyu Beef with the Truffle Mashed Potato, so so good especially with the mushroom sauce. If only I wasn’t already full, would have more of it. 👌

The dessert however, mostly was a let down😕... with the coconut sorbet I suspect they used coconut milk?! 😰 It was really bad. Two of the good ones was the Pandan pie cake and highly recommend the peanut wrap which comes with taro ice cream inside. Heavenly 🤤 Ended of with a complimentary chocolate cake for a birthday celebration which was pretty good. Overall a pretty good experience and might return but the desserts have more room for improvement
