The burnt Brussels sprout! The burnt taste, mixed with some melted cheese and salty condiments makes this best dish at Columbus, IMO =p

Fresh citrusy tasting dessert dish that is bound to satiate any lingering cravings for pancakes you might have! Was warned by the staff that the pancakes take up to 15 minutes to be prepared but in hindsight, it was worth the wait! The pancakes were lightly crisped up on the exterior but remained soft and warm on the inside. Much like the texture of a good waffle. While it is one of the denser pancakes I've had, the freshness of the strawberries made sure that the dish was not too heavy on the palette and balanced out some of that sweetness from the maple syrup as well.

A lil oily towards the end of the food but overall, not too bad.

Review 💬: Decided to go after a hike to Macritchie Tree Top Walk (which didn't even happen LOL) as it was in the area. Had the salmon soba and although I was never that big on soba, this dish definitely changed my mind. The addition of the egg really added to the dish as the egg yolk added a velvety texture to the soba and the furikake added a kick of umami to the entire dish. Wish the salmon was seared on the skin side for longer so it would have been crispier instead of the semi-slimy state it was in. The hotcakes were surprisingly fluffy despite it feeling kinda dry when I poked at it with my fork. We added vanilla ice cream to it as I was craving for something sour, which the berries compote definitely satisfied. Totally see myself returning despite it being kinda far from my home.

The fried chicken basket was a star, particularly for the awesome chilli that was not just punchy but had a nice tangy taste too. These crispy mid-wings were great to start the meal, even better with an iced cold beer to go with.
Their mussel in a light cream soup was another delicious find, especially for the soup that was infused with lemongrass fragrance. It was light, flavourful and easy to polish off every drop from the bowl without getting jelak.
Lastly, our doubts over their cereal prawn pasta were totally abolished upon tasting. This was 1 fusion pasta that worked really well for us.
Many more reasons for us to return, for the other dishes on their extensive menu; as well as coffee and brunch food.

🤔: Definitely recommend adding a scoop of ice cream because that’s how hotcakes should be enjoyed! And although it is stated as a pancake on the menu, it was more of a hotcake with how much thicker it was compared to pancakes. Served with maple syrup and butter, both of which I did not touch as the berries compote and ice cream both proved to be the perfect combination when paired with the pancakes. The sweetness of the vanilla ice cream was balanced out by the sour note of the berries compote and vice versa, making it neither too sweet not too sour. And although hotcakes can get kinda dry in the center, it wasn’t really the case here as it was still soft right down to the center although it did get a bit drier in the middle. Would recommend this for sharing as I was unable to finish even my half of it despite how yummy it was.
