From the Burpple community

it's the first time there after multiple recommendation on their rostis. The food and ambient was good and really enjoyed the experience there. In fact the rosti burger is really awesome and deserve to come back. we also tried the ovalmaltine mousse and lakerli which was recommended to us by the staff and it was unique and light enough to end the meal :)

As I was approaching CouCou, I was greeted by a minimalist white wall with "CouCou" written on a red signboard which makes it easy to locate as you're walking down Craig Road. I was warmly greeted and being led indoor by the friendly hostess.

The indoor has a warm ambience with soft music playing in the background. Two designs of the restaurant that caught my attention was the hung up posters of Swiss Alps and the row of cuckoo clocks on the wall that chirps hourly enlivening your dining experience.

I ordered Tagliata De Boeuf ( Sliced Beef), 200g grass fed striploin served with Herbs and Garlic Butter sauce. I selected Pommes Allumettes (thin fries) as my side.

I was presented with a plate of well charred, thick slices of grilled beef laid on a bed of Arugulas. The beef was perfectly grilled to my preferred doneness, medium rare. It was lightly seasoned with salt and cracked black pepper without masking the true flavor of the beef.

The Pommes Allumettes are freshly prepared to order, sliced thinly and perfectly deep fried to golden brown which makes it so irresistible.

Located at Craig Road, it’s merely a few minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar Mrt station. Multi-storey parking is available right beside which makes it convenient for those who are driving. If you're looking for a place for a date, chill out or have some drinks with friends, this Swiss restaurant, CouCou is definitely the place for you.

Even though the price is a little on the higher side, you're paying for what u get. The food was really good and high quality. I especially love the dessert and i would love to try it again.

Usually, I dont like salmon and potato, but their Rösti et Saumon Fumé was so good that I finished it.

They also have great customer service with friendly staffs around. Would love to visit again! :)

Had the Malakoff et Salade Coucou (pictured), the cheese was perfectly fried and the salad super refreshing. Also ordered salmon rosti and the filet mignon (pork tenderloin) - the potato was crisp on the edges and extremely filling, and I really liked the sauce served with the meat as well. The pork also came with a side dish of your choice. We chose the spatzle pasta, which tasted super interesting (in a good way) and also has a very enjoyable texture. Lastly ended with dessert - the meringue and doubke cream. It was so delicious, the cream was rich and was complemented perfectly with the tart berries, and the meringue rounded it off with a different texture and a much appreciated sweetness.

The service was also good and overall the ambience was nice as well.

The ambience here was great, the restaurant was lightly dimmed and the tealight candle setting on the table made it a romantic dinner date for my partner and I.

The serving size of our dishes were generous, and I felt satisfied after the meal. I had the Rosti Zermatt (veal), which came hot and crispy with the veal perfectly tender and complementing the taste of the rosti well.

The staff were courteous and attentive, and I have to commend one of the female staff for going the extra mile to get my partner and I an umbrella when it was pouring heavily outside after our meal.

I highly recommend this place for a perfect date night or an outing with friends.

Loving the decor, ambiance and service! I didn't really like the food. Maybe I am too Asian? The location is pretty interesting. I like that it is like a shophouse and not located inside a mall.
The staff are also very attentive to our needs.
I think it will be a great place for a date.
