If you have not heard of it, @cozycornersg’s last day of operations would be on 11st Nov! πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ˜₯😭. As one of my favorite vegan places in Singapore, I am always looking forward to new upcoming creations from them that almost always never fail to disappoint!πŸ‘πŸ» Featured here is the VEGAN HOUJICHA cream cake, made in house by a Japanese chef (also the wife of the owner πŸ˜‰)! ✨ Using houjicha powder from @matchayasg , the characteristic roasted flavour was surprisingly prominent, distinct with a pleasant lingering aroma! πŸ˜‹ The plain sponge layers were also soft, fluffy and sufficiently moist, further enhanced with houjicha cream sandwiched within and a surprise element of fresh fruit slices embedded within the smooth, luscious cream 🍎πŸ₯πŸŠ! Apart from Houjicha, there’s also matcha and chocolate creme cake flavours available as well, but do take note that these freshly baked cakes are only available on a rotational basis. Remember to enquire and check on their availability before you head down to avoid disappointment! πŸ‘ŠπŸ» .

The patty is steamed instead of fried. A healthier version. However the texture is abit too tough. The truffle taste is not really strong too. Overall rating i would give 2.5/5

Newly launched to the series of beverage menu, this Genmaicha latte is made using organic premium genmaicha powder sourced from @matchayasg. Vegan friendly, plant-based milk is used instead, which had a distinctive soya flavour that resembled that of soymilk. Amidst the subtle earthy hues of matcha lies a roasted, nutty undertone and aroma, providing another dimensional flavour to the smooth, refreshing beverage. As the name suggests, the roasted flavour resembled that of a popcorn, contributing to a pleasant lingering aroma. Glad that my favourite matcha place (in Singapore) has collaborated with a number of cafes now, which makes no excuse for me to forgo cafe hopping! πŸ˜› .

Presentation of the smoothie is good but the taste is a far cry from it. It has a weird sour taste, which is slightly compensated with the crunchy organic barley topping. Overall, it is not worth it trying. The cafe itself has a nice interior with a warm, cosy feel. 1 out of 5 mochi 🍑

πŸ’œ Blended with purple sweet potato, organic soya and rice milk, this thick and creamy concoction was more like a dessert instead of a beverage, topped with purple rice crunch that contributed to a pleasant crunch factor, something to nibble on while slowly relishing this smooth, thick and creamy smoothie πŸ˜‹. The characteristic natural sweetness of purple sweet potato upholds to its value here, distinct and lingering, a pleasant sensation to the palate. A refreshing albeit sweet ending to your meal and when the weather shows no mercy! ✨ I guess it’s time for me to head back soon to try the newly launched matcha smoothie! πŸ’š

Vegan-friendly desserts made in house, be sure to get your hands on them tomorrow - LAST day before @cozycornersg bids farewell! πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ˜Ώ The cosy ambience there (as the name suggests), welcoming service and hearty food will definitely be missed 😭! Managed to reserve some bakes on my last visit here some days back and among all that I tried here, my favorite still remains the Houjicha creme cake - which is actually my second time having it! πŸ’› And it’s made with @matchayasg β€˜s houjicha powder too!!✌🏻Love how the cakes here come with surprise fillings of fresh fruits embedded within (swipe to view) that helps to add a fruity sweetness and juicy mouthfeel to the soft, fluffy sponge, as well as lowering the level of guilty indulgence 🀭. The blueberry creme cake comprises of earl grey infused sponge layered with blueberry creme and fresh fruits. The tangy and fruity sweetness of the blueberry creme seemed to have overpowered the earl grey flavour though, with the latter barely distinct here. On the other hand, the matcha creme tart comprises of smooth, creamy and luscious matcha creme filling encased within a crisp, solid tart shell and topped with fresh fruits. Would personally prefer if the tart shell was more crumbly and less firm but nevertheless, the highlight remains the smooth matcha vegan creme, one that comes with a subtle, fragrant earthy note! πŸ’š Definitely looking forward to try more new dessert creations when @nomvnom_sg Bistro opens on 1st December! πŸ™†πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™†πŸ»β€β™€οΈ .
