The waffles were fluffy inside and crispy outside, with just the right amount of chocolate sauce and maple syrup. ๐๐๐ The pistachio ice cream was nutty but could have been stronger.
Earl grey ice cream pretty much taste like egg. Is this normal ? Weh...
Love the nutty taste of the pistachio! The sea salt also complements the gula melaka flavour pretty well :)
Exactly what it says on the tin - creamy ice cream!! The flavours are quite accurate and just the right amount of sweet without being too cloying. Luckily this combo if flavours also worked well when eaten together or in different pairings of the three. The waffles themselves weren't that special but a good vehicle for the ice cream and a nice chewy texture.

This waffle was crowned with their CNY special, the Lucky Date ice cream (red date ice cream with crushed walnuts swirled in) and Hokey Pokey (Tahitian vanilla with hand-stirred homemade honeycomb crumb).
The red date ice cream is super unique! There's a rawness to the ice cream which I have never tasted before. It's like two worlds (the richness of the cream and rawness of the dates) combining to form such a delicious and intriguing combination. And the walnuts give such a nice crunch and a faint earthiness.
The Hokey Pokey is nice too, with a strong vanilla flavor that paired so well with the waffles. And that faint honey flavor whenever I crunched on a bit of honeycomb. What a lovely combination, and so different from the Hokey Pokey ice creams from the supermarket.
