Loved this scoop because of how light the sweetness of the lychee and raspberry flavours worked out. The sweetness from the lychee was pleasant and apparent, while the citrus nodes from the raspberry gave a bit of sourish element to the sweetness. Both elements of lychee and raspberry complemented one another very well. The texture was also creamy and slightly chewy - wouldn’t go wrong if they’d market themselves as gelato. Also, a generous single scoop given!

The pulut hitam flavour was thick and creamy, and actually pretty chewy/stretchy to the point they could market it as gelato. I liked how I could taste a bit of char in the glutinous rice flavour. However, at the same time, the coconut element in this scoop was evidently too overwhelming. I enjoyed this until the flavour became a bit too heavy with the strong coconut taste. Nonetheless, if you enjoy pulut hitam and don’t mind the overtly strong coconut, the flavour of glutinous rice in this dense scoop is strong and worth a try.

Ice cream!! Finally dropped by to check out @creme_and_cone at lau pa sat @foodfolks.sg !

Tried the lychee raspberry and grapefruit strawberry sorbet flavours! Got the cup instead of cone as I didn't fancy messy ice cream cone eating. Choosed the lychee raspberry, which is my top 2 favourite flavour choices (besides pistachio). But this version was more creamy and heavy than I expected. Quite like the grapefruit strawberry sorbet though! Interesting choice of grapefruit ingredient which I don't often see much elsewhere. The sorbet was also not too sour. However, both scoops melted way too fast even though the weather was not super hot? It was the first time ever that i had to finish up the last scoops of ice cream by drinking it up haha.

But with that said, lots of flavours to choose from, and it is 1 for 1 with burpplebeyond! Plus there are proper table and chair seatings right beside at the laupasat hawker centre for diners who are not fully vaccinated.

I love how we’re able to choose from all the flavours available unlike some other places where you can only choose the basic flavours for 1 for 1.

Pistachio flavour is nutty which I really liked as well. Portion was generous.

Taste: 4/5
Price: 5/5

Came back the very next day after our first experience with them.

We chose different flavours this time round, milo cookie was underwhelming, I would probably think it’s just chocolate if you didn’t tell me. Camo is a mix of hazelnut and pandan ice cream with chocolate chips. Hazelnut was too light and artificial did not like it, pandan taste a little artificial but reminded me of bengawan solo’s pandan chiffon cake.

Overall was kinda disappointed with the flavours as the previous night’s flavours were so good

Lychee rasp is cream based rather than a sorbet, somehow reminded me of lychee bandung drink you get at mama shop. Really good

Pistachio is really good, creamy and nutty not overly sweet. Really hits the spot.

Plus points to this place as the portion are huge and generous!! Without burpple I’d come back here with my family

Side note, sad that they didn’t have waffle pop today really wanted to try it out.
