This Braised Sea Cucumber with Grandma’s Braised Pork Belly is served in a claypot, one of the new highlights at the revamped Crystal Jade Palace.

Very tender and succulent Irish Duck here, accompanied by bits of black truffle. There’s a tinge of truffle flavour which doesn’t complicate the flavour of the duck itself excessively. If you still have space, we also highly recommend the Iberico pork char siew which is equally delicious.

The chef-special you shouldn’t miss is the Braised Sea Cucumber with Grandma’s Braised Pork Belly which reminds me of the Hangzhou iconic dish of Dong Po Rou.

This is a rustic, home-style dish served in a claypot featuring Australia-sourced sea cucumbers and Crystal Jade’s signature braised pork belly.

This revamped roast duck dish at the revamped Crystal Jade Palace is probably the only one that is worthy of my royal taste buds. The tender roast duck meat with crispy skin is a Crystal Jade classic. Legend has it the Crystal Jade duck was grown up to 49 days as that is the optimal meat quality achieved. Soak it up with the essential black truffle oil and soy sauce to bring out the sweetness in the duck meat. Unquestionably, we mopped the sauce clean..
But the rest of the dishes we had were really run of the mill. Was expecting much more from the steamed XO scallop dumpling ($8.8) and the crispy tiger prawn fritters wrapped in red glutinous chee cheong fun ($8.8). But no wow factor.
And the service makes me feel like I am in Crystal Jade Kitchen instead of Palace.

This is one of our favourite dish from the new menu at Crystal Jade Palace, which also spots a revamped look in Ngee Ann City. This crispy pancake is very addictive, which also has bits of minced prawns and Chinese ‘lap cheong’!

Set in luxurious Paragon is a swanky restaurant, with exquisite sets, that is perfect for treating the fam. The Executive Set Menu A ($48 per pax) is a six course meal with 2 types of dim sum, Chef's Special Soup of the Day, a delectable pan fried Kurobuta Pork Chop, prawns and dessert. Good for family reunions is the eight-course Golden Palace Set Menu B ($888 for 10 pax) that includes a Roasted Peking Duck and the Crab Meat and Fish Maw Thick Soup in Teochew style. For ala carte options, their yummy Double Boiled Giant Grouper Head with Ginger and Premium Nan Zao ($22/pax) is one that's not to be missed!
