I like the dark, sweet Armagnac prunes a lot more, wishing that it could be a prune tart with custard sauce rather than it being a custard tart.

(market price. prep fee $15 - $25). The fillet is grilled and served with asparagus and lemon, leaving its delicate meat pretty much untouched. The meat is firm but extremely moist, and the olive oil dressing enhances that quality. .

This is possibly the prettiest Foie Gras Au Torchon I have seen and a delectable one at that.
Serving the Castaing foie gras with fresh figs, preserves and pickled onions is clever as its heavy-bodied and very rich creaminess demands the cut-through from fresh fruitiness, sweetness and acidity to be truly enjoyable.
Toasted to a gorgeous golden-brown, the neatly trimmed pieces of housemade brioche were the ideal base. In fact, I wouldn’t mind having them spread with plain ol’ butter as well so good they were.

Two visits in three days. The first for the official launch party that happened last Friday night, the second on my own accord to have lunch on Sunday.
Shown above is our order of the Linguine with Sautéed Clams. It is a simple yet satisfying dish. I really liked the broth of white wine, garlic and parsley and wished there was more of it.
For a change, I have decided that the next time I’m here, it is a must to walk over to the market place and pick out a piece of steak or a sole fish (I spotted some lovely ones) and have the kitchen team cook it instead.

The beauty of dining at Culina Bistro located inside the new Culina Como Dempsey is that you can just stroll over to the market place housed under the same roof and pick your own food.
These oysters came from the fresh seafood section and wow-ed us. Huge, creamy and meaty, they were incredibly fresh and tasted so good naked I didn’t even need to squeeze any lemon juice or spoon the accompanying dressing on them
