Grilled chicken breast, mango, almond slivers, edamame, red cabbage, red pepper and shredded carrots on a bed of mixed vegetables of lettuce and spinach. The oriental salad also comes with Asian sesame dressing and comes with the option of substituting proteins - salmon, quinoa bites, tempeh, and chilli lime tilapia. Each of the items on the menu comes with the calorie counts next to them so you get an idea how much you’re consuming.

The vegetables were already prepacked in the takeaway container before the rest of the salad was assembled to order. Thankfully, the vegetables were quite fresh, although a handful were dull and wilted. I love the pops of colour in this mix. I ate most of the salad without dressing, but the Asian sesame dressing was thick and interesting. It was slightly sweet, yet a little sour, similar to the brown sauce on chee cheong fan. I find the vegetables here tend to be more green and bitter in the leaves, but very sweet in their stemmed areas. The mango was a nice addition to the mixture. It was a little green, and while not super sweet like our Thai mangoes, it added just the right amount of sweetness and a tiny bit of sourness. The grilled chicken breast was lovely although the pieces were quite small and the portion tiny. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, just wish that more was given for the price.

If you want more flexibility on your salads instead of getting a prepackaged one, Cultures has many locations and makes an easy and convenient place to pick one up although a little expensive.
